Abstract

Correctional Institution is a Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Directorate General of Corrections which is given the authority to carry out services, guidance and guidance to inmates in prison. With the emergence of a policy from the Ditjenpas regarding the Prisoners Guidance Assessment System (SPPN) which aims as a guide for correctional guardians in increasing the objectivity of assessing changes in prisoners' behavior, and supporting the fulfillment of prisoners' rights including remission, assimilation, parole (PB), conditional leave (CB). ) and other rights. The purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of the SPPN policy, to know the supporting and inhibiting factors and to find out the efforts to overcome the obstacles to the SPPN policy in the Class IIB Purwodadi Prison. This study uses the study of the concept of George C. Edward III. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive method. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation and library studies. The results showed that the implementation of the SPPN policy in the Class IIB Purwodadi prison has not run optimally, because there are still problems in communication, namely the lack of communication between the correctional guardians and prisoners, human resources, namely the number of correctional guardians is not proportional to the number of prisoners, correctional guardians have not received training and education specifically related to the implementation of the SPPN policy. Supporting factors: Cooperation both internally and externally, support from superiors, utilization of infrastructure, friendly attitude of officers, good response from prisoners. Inhibiting factors: Limited time, multiple positions, workload, number of correctional guardians not proportional to the number of prisoners, lack of training, lack of infrastructure, insufficient budget/funds. Efforts in overcoming obstacles to the implementation of the SPPN policy are providing training and education to correctional guardians, providing rewards to correctional guardians, increasing cooperation both internally and externally, increasing the number of correctional guardians, utilizing infrastructure facilities.

Abstract

Correctional institutions are places to receive guidance to return to their criminal period and can be accepted in society, as well as the rights that must be fulfilled, in prison life many are felt so that the idea arises to start life, with the important things of coaching obtained by independence and independence in preventing this, one of which is in the independence of activities that can be developed which can increase a sense of religiosity, and can also maintain mental health. the use of mental health, with quantitative methods and data processing applications SPPS IBM 25, the results show that the large influence between the variables religiosity on health is 7.00 which states that there is an effect of 70% between the variables religiosity in maintaining health mental tan, and by 30% the influence of other variables.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis efektivitas extramural treatment melalui Sarana Asimilasi dan Edukasi (SAE) dalam memulihkan penghidupan narapidana di Lapas Kelas IIA Tanjungpinang. SAE, yang dilakukan di luar tembok lapas, menyediakan pelatihan kemandirian seperti pertanian, perikanan, dan keterampilan teknis lainnya, untuk mempersiapkan narapidana menghadapi kehidupan di masyarakat pasca-pembebasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen terkait program SAE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program SAE berperan penting dalam memulihkan penghidupan narapidana serta meningkatkan keterampilan yang dapat mereka gunakan untuk mencari pekerjaan atau membuka usaha mandiri setelah bebas. Selain itu, SAE membantu mengurangi stigma masyarakat terhadap narapidana dengan memperlihatkan perbaikan kepribadian dan keterampilan mereka. Namun, masih ditemukan kendala seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan dukungan yang perlu diatasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas program ini. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan pelatihan yang sesuai dengan permintaan pasar dan peningkatan kolaborasi dengan pihak eksternal untuk keberlanjutan program rehabilitasi narapidana.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of employee engagement and its relationship with employee loyalty in the context of organizational change. With a qualitative approach based on literature study, this research explores data from various secondary sources, such as scientific journals, books, and organizational reports. The analysis shows that employee engagement contributes significantly to employee loyalty. Emotionally and intellectually engaged employees show higher commitment to the organization, reduce turnover rates, and increase productivity. Strategies such as creating an inclusive work environment and career development opportunities are considered effective for increasing employee engagement. The findings provide practical insights for companies to strengthen relationships with employees in the face of global challenges.

Abstract

Drug abuse in Indonesia is a serious problem with the number of users reaching 3.3 million people in the 2021-2023 period, which is influenced by a lack of self-control, environmental influences, and weak educational outreach. In Yogyakarta Province, around 40% of drug users are students, while overcapacity in prisons exacerbates the potential for drug smuggling, including in Yogyakarta Class IIA Narcotics Prisons where drug convicts dominate. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the description of drug smuggling patterns in the Correctional UPT in the Yogyakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Qualitative methods were used in this research to be able to describe more broadly the smuggling patterns that occurred using a case study research design and data collection using interviews, observation and document study. From the research conducted, the smuggling pattern that occurs at the Correctional UPT in the Yogyakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights has a tendency to use types of drugs or what are usually called koplo pills with the smuggling pattern being through visits or depositing goods, and the formation of networks is usually done when getting to know new people in prison.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of personality development management for inmates at Kotabumi Class IIA Penitentiary as part of the correctional system in Indonesia, emphasizing rehabilitation and social reintegration rather than just punishment. The effectiveness of the development program remains a fundamental issue, particularly due to limited staff, inadequate facilities, and overcrowding. This research aims to describe the implementation of personality development and analyze the application of management functions, such as planning, organizing, leadership, and controlling, in its implementation. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews with staff and inmates, and document study. The results show that personality development has been implemented through religious activities, arts, and sports, but still faces structural and functional barriers, such as a lack of facilitators, limited counseling spaces, insufficient teaching materials, and weak ongoing evaluation. According to George C. Edwards III’s policy implementation theory, significant obstacles were found in communication, resource availability, and rigid bureaucratic structure. The findings indicate that although the development program is running, its effectiveness remains suboptimal. This study concludes that strengthening managerial aspects, improving staff capacity, developing supporting facilities, and expanding collaboration with religious and social institutions are necessary to enhance the effectiveness of the program.

Abstract

Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) memiliki peran penting dalam pembinaan narapidana agar dapat kembali ke masyarakat dengan perilaku yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas kebijakan tersebut serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Rumusan masalah yang diangkat mencakup bagaimana efektivitas penempatan sel pengasingan dan apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teori efektivitas serta teori behavioral reward and punishment B.F. Skinner digunakan sebagai kerangka analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penempatan sel pengasingan dinilai cukup efektif dalam memberikan efek jera, mendorong perubahan perilaku, dan menurunkan angka pelanggaran berulang. Namun, efektivitas kebijakan ini juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman petugas terhadap aturan, ketepatan sasaran penerapan sanksi, waktu pelaksanaan yang sesuai, dan kondisi psikologis narapidana. Kesimpulannya, sel pengasingan dapat menjadi instrumen pembinaan yang efektif apabila diterapkan secara profesional, adil, dan sesuai dengan peraturan. Evaluasi dan monitoring berkelanjutan tetap diperlukan untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara pembinaan dan penegakan disiplin di dalam Lapas

Abstract

Kriminalitas yang dilakukan oleh perempuan masih jarang menjadi fokus kajian kriminologi, padahal pola pikir kriminal (criminal thinking) pada perempuan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dengan laki-laki dan berpengaruh terhadap proses pembinaan di lembaga pemasyarakatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk criminal thinking pada narapidana perempuan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan Kelas II A Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data mengacu pada teori Psychological Inventory of Criminal Thinking Styles (PICTS) dari Glenn D. Walters. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pikir kriminal narapidana perempuan dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal berupa kondisi psikologis, emosi negatif, serta pengalaman hidup, dan faktor eksternal seperti tekanan ekonomi, lingkungan sosial, dan pengaruh pasangan. Dari delapan gaya berpikir kriminal menurut teori PICTS, ditemukan tiga gaya dominan, yaitu mollification (pembenaran diri), entitlement (perasaan berhak), dan sentimentality (menutupi kejahatan dengan kebaikan). Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya program rehabilitasi kognitif berbasis gender untuk menekan residivisme dan mendukung reintegrasi sosial yang lebih efektif
