Abstract

The purpose of this study is to measure effort expectancy, habit, price value, hedonic motivation, and social influence on the intention to use paylater with trust as a moderating variable. This research is a descriptive quantitative type and data collection method using a questionnaire. This research involved a total of 100 respondents who were all residents of North Sumatra. Structural Equation Model (SEM) and SmartPLS are used in data analysis techniques to test hypotheses and identify factors that influence people's intention to use Paylater. The research findings show that the social influence variable has a positive and significant effect on the intention to use Paylater. Meanwhile, effort expectancy, habit, price value, and hedonic motivation have no effect on the intention to use Paylater. Then the trust variable cannot moderate effort expectancy, habit, price value, hedonic motivation and social influence on the intention to use Paylater, maybe because Paylater has several risks so that trust cannot moderate these variables. This proves that the people of North Sumatra who use paylater are due to social influences without thinking about anything that is at risk for the user. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a reference for prospective Paylater users in using them and become information for related institutions. This research is expected to be information in developing further research by adding risk variables that influence the intention to use Paylater.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of clean water donations as a strategic instrument in improving the welfare of MSMEs through production efficiency and poverty alleviation using the maqasid al-syari‘ah approach, particularly hifẓ al-nafs and hifẓ al-mal. The method used is qualitative research based on field research through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) with 10-20 informants, which are analysed using Participatory Impact Assessment (PIA). The results show that the clean water charity model based on communal well waqf, which is built on four main pillars, can be strengthened through the use of digitalisation. Digitalisation not only serves as a means of financial recording and reporting, but is also developed in the form of a water charity distribution application that facilitates online donations, real-time monitoring of water distribution, and mapping of beneficiaries. This mechanism enhances transparency, public participation, and governance efficiency. The sustainability of the model is supported by a cross-subsidy scheme, whereby MSME contributions guarantee free access to clean water for the poor, while surplus funds are allocated for microfinance and MSME training. This research contributes to a blueprint for the development of non-APBD-based clean water infrastructure based on inclusive economics and sharia at the village level. Keywords: Clean Water Charity, Culinary Msmes, Digital Charity Application, Productive Waqf, Sharia-Based Inclusive Economy

Abstract

Papaya California agriculture serves as a highly lucrative sector in the rural economy due to its continuous harvesting cycle. However, smallholder farmers in Pasir Matogu Village, Muaratais District, South Tapanuli Regency, consistently grapple with systemic vulnerabilities in financial management and severe capital limitations due to an over-reliance on limited government fertilizer subsidies. This community service to society (PKM) program delivers an institutional solution by implementing digital platform-based Sharia accounting and business proposal formulation for California papaya farmer groups in Pasir Matogu Village. Utilizing a highly participatory and continuous mentoring methodology, the intervention structured five strategic phases: baseline observation, mindset transformation, digital accounting application training, professional business proposal coaching, and evaluation. The empirical outcomes demonstrate a profound paradigm shift among participants. Farmers successfully established strict boundaries between papaya business cash and domestic savings, digitized daily transactions, and utilized accurate financial ledgers to construct bankable farmer group business proposals. This empowerment enabled the farmer groups to expand beyond standard government fertilizer assistance and actively pitch for external formal capital injection. Financial accountability significantly improved, mitigating transparency conflicts regarding shared costs and substantially strengthening the farmers' institutional capacity for long-term village economic autonomy in Pasir Matogu Village, Muaratais District, South Tapanuli Regency.
