Abstract

A control system in the form of an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is needed when a blackout occurs from the PLN that will be transferred to the generator. The research problem was how to save costs for making ATS that can run efficiently. The purpose of this study was to find out how to save costs for making ATS that can run well and efficient. The method used was Research and Development. The Research and Development stages included: collecting data, designing, and testing. To save costs for making ATS, the researchers used the Timer Delay Relay (TDR), as using TDR reduces the cost of making tools because the component prices are relatively affordable. The way the ATS system works is when the PLN electricity is on, the battery will be charged by the battery charger, and when the PLN electricity goes out, the inverter will get a voltage supply from the battery, that was originally 12V will be changed to 220V. The TDR makes it easier to determine the appropriate time when the voltage is stable. Based on the experiment, the time when the voltage is stable is 6 seconds.

Abstract

Setiap rumah tangga pasti akan menghasilkan limbah atau barang yang sudah tidak dipakai. Fokus dari pengabdian yaitu memanfaatkan limbah rumah tangga yang tidak terpakai menjadi barang yang bisa digunakan. Seperti contohnya limbah tutup botol dan kain perca. Tutup botol dan kain perca dapat dikreasi menjadi bross. Sebuah accessories atau pelengkap keindahan bagi pemakainaya yang biasanya digunakan wanita. Metode pengabdian yang dipakai yaitu menggunakan strategi pelatihan. Pengabdian tentang pemanfaatan limbah tutup botol dan kain perca menjadi bross diharapkan dapat mengatasi masalah limbah rumah tangga serta dapat menjadi nilai jual di kalangan masyarakat.

Abstract

The fan is a tool that is needed to rotate air circulation. In the market, fans are usually controlled manually by turning the control switch. The research problem is how to make a fan tool that can automatically turn on when there is a change in temperature. The purpose of this research is to facilitate users in using the fan. The method used is Research and Development. The stages of Research and Development include: data collection, design, and testing. The automatic fan control circuit consists of an atmega8 microcontroller integrated with a temperature sensor, button and relay. The circuit can display the temperature and can control the fan. The automatic fan control circuit is made on a PCB whose PCB layout is made using a computer with the PCB manufacturing process still using screen printing techniques. The conclusion is that the manufacture of automatic fan control devices integrated with temperature sensors, buttons and relays can facilitate the control of fans so that users do not need to control when the temperature changes.

Abstract

The skill of measuring an object for a student is an ability that must be possessed, especially for students at the Ash Shiddiqiyah Balingasal Padureso Vocational High School (SMK) Light Vehicle and Automotive Engineering Study Program (TKRO). Automotive skills subjects place great emphasis on the use of measuring tools, including vernier calipers and screw micrometers. The aim of the service is to provide information about the use of vernier calipers and screw micrometers. The implementation of the service uses methods in the form of training on measuring tools with vernier calipers and screw micrometers which is carried out at Ash Shiddiqiyah Balingasal Padureso Vocational School. It is hoped that by providing training on vernier caliper and screw micrometer measuring instruments, students will become proficient in using or operating measuring instruments and can overcome the problem of uncertainty in measurements and understand automotive subjects more easily

Abstract

PKK Kaliputih di Kutowinangun, Kebumen, telah menjalin kerja sama dengan Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Indonesia untuk menyelenggarakan kegiatan pengabdian yang melibatkan pembinaan pada Kelompok Kerja (Pokja) II. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pembinaan tentang keterampilan dalam pembuatan buket snack kepada masyarakat. Cara yang digunakan dalam aktivitas ini adalah penyuluhan. Harapannya, setelah mengikuti pelatihan tersebut, warga masyarakat dapat mengembangkan usaha dan meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga mereka.

Abstract

Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) berperan penting dalam meningkatkan perekonomian desa, namun masih menghadapi kendala dalam penyusunan laporan keuangan sesuai regulasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan pengurus BUMDes dalam menyusun laporan keuangan berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Desa, Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal, dan Transmigrasi Nomor 136 Tahun 2022. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh LPPM Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Indonesia pada tanggal 25–26 September 2024 dengan peserta sebanyak 11 orang yang terdiri atas pengurus BUMDes dan perangkat desa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Training and Assistance (PTA) melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, workshop, pendampingan praktik, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebelum pelatihan sebanyak 72,73% peserta masih kurang memahami regulasi pelaporan BUMDes dan 90,91% belum mengetahui implementasinya. Setelah mengikuti workshop dan pendampingan, peserta menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman serta kemampuan menyusun laporan keuangan sesuai standar. Kegiatan ini efektif dalam mendukung tata kelola BUMDes yang transparan, akuntabel, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pengelolaan keuangan yang belum tertata secara sistematis di PAUD Terpadu Aisyiyah Pituruh menjadi permasalahan utama dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Permasalahan yang dihadapi meliputi pencatatan keuangan yang tidak baku, rendahnya transparansi, serta keterbatasan kompetensi pengelola dalam penyusunan laporan keuangan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dan pengelola PAUD dalam mengelola keuangan secara transparan, akuntabel, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui ceramah, diskusi, simulasi, dan pendampingan langsung berbasis Participatory Action Research (PAR). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam pencatatan kas masuk dan keluar, penyusunan laporan keuangan sederhana, serta perencanaan anggaran. Selain itu, lembaga mulai menerapkan sistem pencatatan keuangan sederhana yang memudahkan proses pelaporan dan evaluasi dana operasional. Dampak kegiatan terlihat pada meningkatnya transparansi dan akuntabilitas keuangan serta bertambahnya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap lembaga PAUD. Dengan demikian, pelatihan pengelolaan keuangan terbukti berperan penting dalam mendukung tata kelola lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Body temperature is an important indicator for monitoring a person's health condition. The average normal human body temperature ranges from 36–37°C. Changes in body temperature, whether hyperthermia or hypothermia, may indicate infections or metabolic disorders, making accurate and practical measurement methods essential. Conventional contact thermometers have limitations, such as long measurement times and user discomfort. To overcome these issues, a non-contact body temperature measurement system was designed using an infrared sensor. This sensor works by detecting thermal radiation emitted from the body’s surface without requiring direct skin contact. The device utilizes the MLX90614 infrared sensor, an ultrasonic sensor for distance detection, and a switch as an on/off control. Measurement results are displayed on an OLED screen and can be monitored via a smartphone through the Blynk platform. Based on testing, the non-contact body temperature measurement device achieved an accuracy level of 99.3%.

Abstract

Attendance systems that still rely on manual input require more processing time due to the absence of an automatic identification mechanism, resulting in less efficient attendance recording. This study aims to design and develop an employee attendance system based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and the Internet of Things (IoT) integrated with a web-based application. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model. The system was developed using an ESP32 microcontroller, an RFID RC522 Reader, PHP, and MySQL, while IoT technology was utilized to transmit attendance data to the server via the internet. The test results indicate that all system functions operated successfully, including RFID card identification, data transmission, database storage, and attendance information display on the website. Furthermore, the developed system improved attendance processing efficiency by reducing the attendance time from 15–20 seconds to 2–5 seconds. Therefore, the proposed RFID and IoT-based attendance system can serve as an effective and efficient alternative for managing employee attendance.
