Abstract

The development of children's knowledge in the Digital Age is accelerating. Children are now following the times so that they are not left behind. So, in children's ministry, especially in the Church, it is necessary to hold a briefing for Sunday School teachers, where teachers who teach Sunday School children are equipped with more practical ministry knowledge. If teachers update themselves, it will be easier for them to reach today's children. The Sunday School children in GMI Baithani Plaju are very active, so the teachers must be creative. Therefore, it is hoped that through this community service in the form of seminars with training accompanied by discussions of teachers and teams, Sunday School teachers will be equipped to optimize their creativity in service so that in Sunday School services, there are new things to show and make children enthusiastic in worshipping in Sunday School. This community service uses the method of seminars and discussions as well as practice to provide understanding to GMI Baithani Sunday School teachers to teach creatively and develop their creativity to foster the enthusiasm of Sunday School children in worship and ultimately strengthen children's faith.

Abstract

In the era of Digital Society 5.0, the development of information and communication technology has had a significant impact on daily life, including in the field of education. Christian education has become an important component in the character formation of adolescents, particularly within the youth fellowship of the Evangelical Protestant Church in the Archipelago (GPIN) Bukit Asam. Parents play a central role in teaching religious values to their children, which will shape their character and morality amid the challenges of the digital era. This research will discuss how parents teach and implement Christian education for the character formation of adolescents at GPIN Bukit Asam, as well as the challenges and strategies faced in the digital context. The findings of this study contribute to understanding the role of parents in applying Christian education for the character formation of GPIN Bukit Asam adolescents in the 5.0 era.

Abstract

Building the spirituality of adolescents is a crucial task, especially in the face of the influence of the times, which has significantly impacted the decline of adolescent spirituality today. The role of the Church, in this case, GPIN Bukit Asam, can serve as a platform to implement the Christian Religious Education curriculum as an effort to build the spiritual life of adolescents. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Christian Religious Education (CRE) curriculum in building adolescent spirituality at GPIN Bukit Asam. In the context of globalization and modernization, spirituality has become an important aspect that needs attention in the growth of adolescent faith. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results indicate that the effective implementation of the CRE curriculum can improve adolescents' understanding of Christian values and strengthen their faith. Furthermore, the involvement of teachers and the school environment also plays a significant role in building adolescent spirituality.
