Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the meaning of nationalism by NU kiai. The method used is a qualitative case study as a research reference. This research data collection using interviews, observation, and study documentation. The results of this study regarding: the subject of thought NU in developing nationalism in Indonesia; perspective on good citizens by Nahdlatul Ulama; Attitudes and step NU struggles in maintaining the participation of Indonesian nationalism; NU perspective of the international Islamic organizations that want to establish the Caliphate; NU efforts in developing the nation's morals; NU perspective in the baldatun thoyibatun wa robbun ghofur; and constraints faced in fostering nasioanalisme NU.
