Abstract

This study is aims at finding some causes why some students became slow learners by employing the attribution theory proposed by Weiner.Regarding to Weiner’s theory, the researcher finds that slow learning among studens is strongly related to their attribution toward the success and failure during learning process. That is the reason why slow learning is likely to happen. Such cases happen when the students attribute their success and failure in learning based on external and internal factors so that stability and unstability are controallable. When the success is attributed by the external and internal factors and stability, the possibility to get success in the future is likely to happen again and the satisfation overwhelms the student. On the other hand, when the students fail during learning, it will make them to be embarrassed, to lose their dignity and to have negative assumption toward the failure in the future. In addition, the repeatly failure among the students might cause a phenomena which is commonly called learning  helplessness. Learning helplessness make the students not only to be a slow learner but also not to be able to complete the study.Key Words: Attribution, success, failure, external or internal, stability,                 learning helplessness.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out: 1) Attachment of orphanage children to caregivers at the Muhammadiyah Islamic Bording school and Orohanage; 2) The attachment style of the children at the Muhammadiyah Gurah Islamic Boarding School and Orphanage in, is it secure, avoidant, or anxiety; 3) the factors that influence the attachment style. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research framework with a case study model. Data collection was carried out by observation and interviews with both orphanage children and caregivers, as well as documentation. The research subjects were 5 children living in the Muhammadiyah Gurah Islamic Boarding School and orphanage. Checking the validity of the data was carried out by extending participation and triangulation. The results showed: a) 2 out of 5 subjects had an attachment to their caregivers and the remaining 3 subjects had no attachment to their caregivers; b) three of the study subjects developed a secure attachment style. The remaining 2 subjects developed an insecure (anxious) attachment style; c) Factors that influence the development of attachment style: the role of caregivers, age at the orphanage, parental social support, and self-acceptance.

Abstract

Abstrak Banser is a semi-autonomous body of the Ansor Youth Movement of the largest mass organization in Indonesia, namely Nahdlatul Ulama'. Banser has a field of assignments related to the field of social religion which is more practical and strategic. Regeneration in Ansor and Banser bodies is held every week, and continues to be ongoing in order to prepare new cadres. Regeneration must be carried out actively and programmed in accordance with the vision and mission that has been set. Distribution and independence continues to be carried out in stages. This vision and mission will continue to be realized over the next few years in order to form massive integrity and make a major contribution to all Indonesian people. So that a principle can be formed that is very strongly internalized within Banser's body, namely "NKRI Harga Mati". In accordance with the social conditions in Nganjuk Regency, the research carries the theme of integrity in the principle of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The research was carried out using qualitative methods in a case study approach. This approach was chosen because the object of study is a system, so case studies were chosen as an alternative to describe the phenomena that arise. The data purification process was carried out using observation, interview, and recording methods by checking the validity of the data using triangulation. Cultural Theory was chosen as the analytical knife in positioning the Banser problem in response to the era of globalization and the challenges of the times with the principle of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia at Dead Price.

Abstract

Early reading is a unique and important skill for children’s language development, as well as a means of communication for humans. Individuals will acquire new information, knowledge and new experiences through reading. The main and fundamental problem in this study is that many children are not able to read fluently. This study is aimed at early childhood with reading delays. This study aims to determine the improvement of reading comprehension through the method of reading picture story books. The method used in this research is descriptive and qualitative methods, the data is collected through observation and documentation. Based on the results of study, it was found that there was an increase in reading comprehension with picture story books.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the description of stress and religious coping of the elderly in dealing with stress at UPT PTSW Blitar along with their contribution in overcoming stress in the elderly at UPT PTSW Blitar. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out by observation and in-depth interviews with 11 elderly people and 5 employees at UPT PSTW Blitar. .The research results showed that all subjects experienced stress, both mild and severe. The causal factors vary, including physical and psychological factors originating from family, friends and regulations at UPT PSTW. Apart from that, all subjects used religious coping to deal with the stress they experienced, but with different strategies. Apart from religious coping, the elderly also developed other coping strategies, namely problem focused coping and other forms of emotion coping such as diversion and seeking social support.  The religious coping of the elderly at UPT PSTW also varies, there are high, medium, low and very low in terms of the number of strategies used. Religious coping together with problem focused coping strategies and other forms of emotion focused coping can reduce stress in the elderly.  Ten subjects felt that life was more comfortable and happier with lower levels of stress compared to when they initially entered UPT PSTW. Meanwhile, 1 subject did not experience a comfortable and happy life, on the contrary, he was in a condition of severe stress

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari tentu kita pernah mengalami stres, yang mendorong kita untuk melakukan coping stres supaya kita tidak terjebak dan terpuruk karenanya. Kajian coping stres mendapat perhatian yang besar dalam psikologi. Kajian ini menfokuskan diri pada upaya mengkaji stres dan coping stres dalam perspektif al Qur’an, sebagai rujukan utama umat Islam. Tulisan ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui pandangan Al Qur’an tentang stres, emosi negatif yang menyertai stres, sumber stres, dan mengetahui bagaimana  coping stres menurut al Qur’an, sebagai upaya untuk memperoleh kehidupan yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data adalah al Qur’an beserta tafsirnya serta hasil telaah para ahli terkait dengan stres dan coping stres. Hasil  penelitian menjukkan bahwa : 1) Al Qur’an memandang stres sebagai cobaan dan ujian dari  Allah SWT ;2) Gejala stres seperti munculnya emosi negatif takut, sedih dan marah dilukiskan Allah dalam surat Al –Ambiya yat 140,  Abasa ayat 33-37, surat Yusuf ayat 84-86, At –Taubah ayat 92, Al-A’raf ayat 150 dan Thoha ayat 92-94. 3) Ada banyak sumber stres yaitu : pertama musibah. Hal ini dijelaskan Allah SWT dalam surat At-taghabun ayat 11, Asy Syura ayat 30 dan Ar-Rum ayat 41. Kedua, Penyakit hati dijelaskan dalam surat Al Baqarah ayat 10, Al-A’raf ayat 179. Ketiga Berprasangka buruk kepada Allah, dijelaskan dalam surat Al Fajr ayat 15-17 dan surat Al Fath ayat 12. Kempat berprasangka buruk kepada orang lain dijelaskan oleh Allah dalam surat Al Hujurat ayat 12.: 4)Allah SWT dalam al Qur’an juga memberikan tuntunan bagaimana mengatasi stres (coping stres), yaitu dengan ikhlas, sabar, zikir, tobat, shalat, dan berpikir positif dan optimis. Pertama, ikhlas dijelaskan dalam Al Qur’an dalam surat At Taubah ayat 91. Kedua, Sabar dijelaskan dalam  Al qur’an asurat Al Baqarah ayat 153 dan Al Baqarah ayat 155-157. Ketiga, zikir dijelaskan dalam Al Qur’an dalam surat Al Baqarah ayat 152, Surat Thoha ayat 130, dan Surat Ar Ra’d ayat 28.  Kempat, Tobat, dijelaskan dalam surat Az-Zumar ayat 53, An Nisa’ ayat 48. Kelima, berpikir positif dan optimis dijelaskan dalam Al qur’an Surat Al-Insyirah ayat 5-6 dan Al Tawbah ayat 51. Keenam shalat, dijelaskan dalam Al Qur’an Surat Al baqarah ayat 153 dan Surat Ghafir ayat 60.
