Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) records that more than 5 million people die each year and about 1.3 million people experience physical disability due to closed fractures. The purpose of this study was to carry out nursing care for closed fracture patients at Mr. J and Mr. A with acute pain problems in the Emergency Installation (IGD) Embung Fatimah Hospital, Batam City. The research includes descriptive research with a case study design that was conducted for one day on two patients with the same nursing problems and cases, namely patients with closed clavicle fractures. Assessment data obtained in patients with closed clavicle fractures with acute pain problems, namely, both patients experienced signs and symptoms of pain in the shoulder, body felt weak, dizziness. The author formulates a diagnosis that is acute pain associated with displacement of bone fragments. Nursing planning for both patients is the same, namely to overcome my pain. Nursing actions have been given as needed. Based on nursing care carried out for 2 × 60 minutes, the results obtained that the problem in both patients was resolved and underwent treatment in the inpatient room. For this reason, it is hoped that this study can add insight to the family/patient in reducing complications or the risk of closed clavicle fractures.

Abstract

Background : Mother's Milk (ASI) is the most beautiful gift from the mother to those secreted by both breast glands in the form of natural food or the best nutritious and high-energy milk which is easily digested and contains a balanced and perfect nutritional composition for the growth and development of the baby which is available at any time. The causes of failure of exclusive breastfeeding are the lack of knowledge of mothers about breastfeeding and breastfeeding, working mothers, no support from the family, improper breastfeeding techniques and the myth that diluted milk is not good for babies. Method : This activity was attended by cadres and mothers who had babies and toddlers as many as 32 people in the Working Area of ??the Galang Health Center, Galang District. This activity was carried out using health promotion methods with counseling and practicing how to breastfeed properly. Result: The result that can be taken from this activity is to improve the quality of life of the baby when the knowledge of the mother regarding the correct way of breastfeeding can reduce infant morbidity and mortality. Breast milk can guarantee good nutritional status so that it can protect infants and children from infectious diseases such as diarrhea, otitis media and acute lower respiratory tract infections.
