Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze effect of parental income level and parental education level on the interest of prospective students to continue studying in Higher Education. This type of research in this study uses quantitative research. Population in this study are Senior High School Students in Medan City in 2021. Sample is taken randomly using snowball sampling technique. So sample in this study are 100 Senior High School Students in Medan City. Data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that parental income level has a significant effect on the interest of prospective students to continue studying in Higher Education. Parental education level has a significant effect on the interest of prospective students to continue studying in Higher Education.

Abstract

Increasing economic competitiveness is a major challenge for companies and countries in the face of increasingly fierce global competition. One effective approach to achieve this goal is to implement innovative marketing strategies. These strategies include the use of digital technology, data analysis, product personalisation, and the development of creativity in promotion. Through innovative marketing, companies are not only able to fulfil customer needs more effectively but also create differentiation in a competitive market. With continuous innovation, companies can strengthen brand positioning, optimise interactions with customers, and open up opportunities for stable economic growth. Therefore, creative and tactical marketing strategies are key to improving economic competitiveness in the era of globalisation.
