Abstract

Sufi’s poetry or the poetry of Islamic Mysticism is part of the cultural heritage of Islam. If the mention of the many names of Sufi poets, the most commonly known and easily referred to is the name of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi or Rumi. This writing wants to frame the religious experience of Rumi, through his poetries that reflects the attitude of Sufi’s doctrine, in the perspective of Sufi psychologhy. The conclusion was obtained that Rumi was from the type of prophetic religion, so that his attitude of the religion did not leave Syariat aspects which part of Islamic doctrine, although he put a lot of mystical attitude in his eccentric poems since his meeting with Syams Tabriz.

Abstract

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tasawuf dalam konteks seni, terutama melalui puisi Sastrawan Ibramsyah Amandit. Keindahan (al-jamâl), sebagai aspek ilahi adalah perhatian para sufi. Dengan kepekaan mereka terhadap al-Jamâl yang mewakili sifat-sifat Tuhan, Para Sufi mengungkapkan pengalaman terdalam mereka, kemudian menjadikannya sebagai bentuk karya seni yang mengilhami orang lain untuk mendekati Sang Pencipta (Allah). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang mengulas beberapa puisi Ibramsyah Amandit dalam "Badai Gurun Darah". Pendekatan teoritis yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah hermeneutika estetika sufi. Puisi Ibramsyah mewakili pengalaman spritualitas dengan simbol mistik yang diambil dari tradisi sufisme atau dari pemikiran lokal dan pribadinya dengan kesadaran akan ketuhanan.This paper discuss Sufism in the context of art, especially through the poems of the Poet Ibramsyah Amandit. Beauty (al-jamâl) as an aspect of the divine of God is the attention of Sufis. With the sensitivity of Jamâl, which represent attribute of God, they then express their inner experiences, thus becoming forms of artwork that inspires others to get closer to the Creator (Allah). This literary research is descriptive qualitative that review some poems of Ibramsyah Amandit in Badai Gurun dalam Darah. The theoretical approach that used is the study of Sufi Aesthetics that is hermeneutics. Ibramsyah’s poems represent sprituality experience with mystical symbols that taken from the sufism tradition or from local and personal thought with awareness of divinity.

Abstract

This study focusedon the spirituality values in paintingsof Amang Rahman Jubair, particularly from the perspective of the sufi aesthetics. Amang Rahman (1931-2001) was an Indonesian painter which has a deeply awareness of God's presence, and have a concept of art which he called Jamal, Kamal and Jalal?embodied by the sweat, blood and tears, which means sacrifice, devotion and love to the Creator and His creatures. Forms of this study is a qualitative field research by using descriptive analytical method and approach of Sufi Aesthetics. The sources is the family and closest-friends of Amang Rahman, a few paintings and journalistic articles and Indonesian art critics writings of his works. This study suggests that Amang Rahman is a sufi in a modern world. Experiences and attitudes totality of his life proving his devotion to both the art and life itself intact. In the works of his art reflected awareness of space and the cosmos that represents nature imajinal ('alam al-khayal), traditions and symbols of Sufism.

Abstract

Ihya 'Ulumiddin is the masterpiece of Hujjatul Islam al-Ghazali. This book, composed of four large volumes, was mentioned as a work that elaborates the understanding of Shari'ah with Sufism, and always referred too in the two contexts of thought. This paper will briefly examine the thought of al-Ghazali in this book, especially in Volume III which talks about al-Muhlikat. The approach begins with a biographical review of the author of this book, the socio-religious background in which it was written and the author's motivation, as well as the miracle of the heart, morally disgraceful and love of the world.Keyword: Al-Ghazali, Ihya ‘Ulumiddin, Volume III, Al-Muhlikat,
