Abstract

Liquid smoke is effective as a disinfectant Contains anti-bacterial activity. Liquid smoke has the ability to inhibit bacterial growth because it contains phenolic compounds that can bind to bacterial proteins through hydrogen bonds, causing the protein structure to be damaged. Phenol can be found in a variety of consumer products including mouthwash. Phenol is irritating and corrosive to skin and mucous membranes. The shell liquid smoke product containing phenol and acetic acid has an effectiveness comparable to 70% alcohol to be used as a disinfectant at a phenol concentration of 12.5% and is safe to be used as a disinfectant. In the process of making liquid smoke, The quality of liquid smoke is influenced by the pyrolysis temperature, burning time, condensation temperature and dry shell, so that the optimization of the process of making quality coconut shell liquid smoke is made as an organic disinfectant using the Taguchi method, to achieve the specified percentage target so as to produce process standards. The method used is the taguchi . quality control method which combines level factors, namely the pyrolysis temperature factor, burning time, condensation temperature, and shell drying. The optimal results obtained were phenol compounds at rank 1 (A3) process (pyrolysis temperature 1800≤T≤ 2100) , rank 2 (B3) (pyrolysis time 5 hours), rank 3 (D2) (2 days shell drying time) and rank 4 (C1) (condensation temperature 300). And to be used as a disinfectant at a phenol concentration of 12.5% or close to the standard process (A3) (pyrolysis temperature 1800≤T≤ 2100), (B1) (pyrolysis time 1 hour), (C3) (condensation temperature 400) and (D1) (long drying shell 0 days).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Resky Jaya Motor Makassar is one of the general motorcycle repair shops serving services such as medium service, light service, and heavy service. There are several complaints about service satisfaction at the Resky Jaya Motor workshop, most of the se complaints are in service, work supervision, vehicle systems, and inapropriate processing times. The purpose of this study is to know the service attributes desired by the customer and to know the service attributes that provide satisfaction to the customer. The method used in this research is Quality Function Deployment (QFD), as a method to transform customer desires into appropriate technical requirements at each stage of the life cycle of a product to product concept then sales and service. The results of this study indicate that the service attributes desired by service users based on observations there are 20 statement attributes, and in improving the quality of vehicle service services at the Rezky Jaya Motor Makassar workshop, technical engineering is carried out on the wishes of service users contained in the list of service users' needs so that service attributes which is expected to provide satisfaction to service users

Abstract

Kurnia Luwuk Sejati is a company that operates in the palm oil industry and produces Crude Palm Oil (CPO). In CPO production, the company only determines two indicators used to determine the quality of CPO, namely Free Fatty Acid (FFA), water content (moisture). The National Standardization Agency (BSN) has established CPO standards contained in the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 01-2901-2006, namely water content (max moisture 0.5%) impurity content (max 0.5%) and Free Fatty Acid (FFA 5 %). This allows companies to add one more indicator to determine the quality of CPO, namely impurity content/impurity content, this is an important factor because producers can know the level of clarity and quality of CPO production and is also a way to increase producers' confidence in buying the company's products. The AHP method is used to select conflicting criteria, which then creates alternatives/solutions that have the highest priority and makes it easier for companies to decide on quality control. The results of this research show that of the three quality control criteria, FFA or free fatty acid content is the company's top priority for improving quality because it has the largest comparative weight of 0.681563, then impurity content with a weight value of 0.236447 and Moisture with a weight value of 0, 08199.

Abstract

Abstract

PT. Uwe Molino Luwuk is a company engaged in the production of glass bottled drinking water. However, the product often experiences defects such as inappropriate closures, packaging damage that causes leaks, and lack of precision in the cup sealer. This condition causes the product not to meet consumer expectations for quality. This research aims to reduce the level of defects in each production sub-process by determining the initial performance conditions (baseline) and targets to be achieved. Through the application of Six Sigma, it is hoped that it will be able to reduce process variability, so that product quality can be more consistent with decreasing defect rates. The research results show that the DPMO (Defects Per Million Opportunities) value which varies from 33.39 to 1,885.87 shows that there are fluctuations in production quality and based on the Sigma value, most of the production processes are at level 4 to 5 Sigma, which means overall production quality, overall quite good, achieving Sigma 5.48 defect level

Abstract

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a department of material & service provision at JOB Pertamina – Medco E&P Tomori Sulawesi. Data from each material has been entered into (SAP) such as material type, weight and material dimension size. To find out the dimensions of the incoming material, manual measurements are still carried out. Redesigning the digital bench scale by adding the function of measuring the dimensions of goods so that they can be displayed automatically via a liquid crystal display (LCD). The Kano method classifies the attributes of the digital bench scale by adding the function of measuring the dimensions of goods. From the results of the research on the redesign of the digital bench scale, 5 trials of the designed tool, there was a difference in the distance between manual and automatic measurements of around 0.2-1.5 cm which was caused by the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor which was not precise.

Abstract

Increasingly competitive industrial conditions necessitate that companies maintain high product quality to remain competitive. One of the challenges frequently faced by the manufacturing industry is high levels of product productivity, which can impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This study specifically examines the issue of product defects in the car seat production process at PT. ABC. Despite implementing a quality control system, a significant number of product defects were still found. The study used a quantitative approach using Statistical Quality Control (SQC) methods, specifically p-charts, to analyze production and defect data over 16 days. The analysis showed that the proportion of defects varied significantly, with the highest value reaching 55.17% and the lowest at 5.13%. The control chart showed data points approaching the upper control limit, indicating the process was not yet fully stable. Fishbone analysis identified the main causes of defects, including human factors, work methods, raw materials, and machines. Comprehensive improvements to the work system and joint control are needed to increase production process stability and sustainably reduce defect rates.
