Abstract

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic that has occurred since 2019 has claimed millions of victims worldwide. An examination that can assess how severe the condition of a COVID-19 patient is is an oxygen saturation test. Pulse oximetry is a tool used to measure oxygen saturation values. This study aims to determine the description of oxygen saturation when entering and leaving the hospital for COVID-19 patients at the Robert Wolter Mongisidi Hospital, Manado. The method in this study was retrospective descriptive, collecting secondary data in the form of medical records of patients who were confirmed positive for COVID-19. Based on secondary data obtained from January to September 2021, the number of samples in this study was 251. At the time of admission to the hospital 60.1 men and 39.9% women. In the elderly and children there is a significant improvement in saturation where when out of the hospital there is no oxygen saturation below normal. On admission to the hospital the average oxygen saturation was 96.55% and when discharged from the hospital the average oxygen saturation value was 98.11%. %. On discharge from the hospital there were 4 (2%) cases that had oxygen saturation <94%, the four patients were probably referred or forced to go home. In conclusion, there was an improvement in oxygen saturation levels when leaving the hospital for COVID-19 patients at the Robert Wolter Mongisidi Hospital in Manado for the period January-September 2021Keywords: Oxygen Saturatio; COVID-19 Abstrak: Pandemi COVID-19 yang terjadi sejak tahun 2019 sudah  memakan jutaan korban di dunia. Pemeriksaan yang dapat menilai seberapa berat kondisi pasien COVID-19 adalah pemeriksaan saturasi oksigen. Pulse oximetry merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk mengukur nilai saturasi oksigen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran saturasi oksigen saat masuk dan keluar rumah sakit pada pasien COVID-19 di RS Robert Wolter Mongisidi Manado. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif retrospektif, mengumpulkan data sekunder berupa rekam medik pasien terkonfirmasi positif COVID-19. Berdasarkan data sekunder yang didapat sejak bulan Januari sampai September 2021,  jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 251. Saat masuk rumah sakit pada laki-laki 60,1 dan pada perempuan 39,9%. Pada lansia dan anak-anak mengalami perbaikan saturasi yang signifikan dimana saat keluar rumah sakit tidak terdapat saturasi oksigen dibawah normal. Saat masuk rumah sakit rata-rata saturasi oksigen 96,55% dan saat keluar rumah sakit nilai rata-rata saturasi oksigen 98,11%. Saat keluar rumah sakit terdapat 4 (2%)  kasus yang memiliki saturasi oksigen <94%, keempat pasien tersebut kemungkinan dirujuk atau pulang paksa. Sebagai simpulan, terdapat perbaikan kadar saturasi oksigen saat keluar rumah sakit pada pasien COVID-19 di Rumah Sakit Robert Wolter Mongisidi Manado periode bulan Januari-September 2021.  Kata kunci: Saturasi Oksigen; COVID-19

Abstract

Abstract: An Elderly is someone who has reached the age of 60 years or more. The number of elderly in Indonesia in 2020 has reached 28.7 million. This number continues to increase every year. The elderly will naturally experience changes both physically and mentally which can reduce their quality of life. The quality of sleep and cognitive function in the elderly also changes due to aging factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of yoga exercises on sleep quality and cognitive function in the elderly. This research is a literature review. This study studied topics related to the effect of yoga exercises on sleep quality and cognitive function in the elderly from previous studies. The literature reviewed consists of 15 literature with 8 literature discussing the effect of yoga exercises on sleep quality in the elderly and 7 other literature discussed the effect of yoga exercise on cognitive function in the elderly. The results of this study indicate that yoga exercises that are carried out regularly both in the long and short term can improve the quality of sleep in the elderly and maintain cognitive function in the elderly. It can also prevent dementia and Alzheimer's disease in the elderly.Keywords: yoga exercise, sleep quality, cognitive function, elderly  Abstrak: Lansia merupakan seseorang yang sudah mencapai usia 60 tahun atau lebih. Jumlah lansia di Indonesia pada tahun 2020 mencapai 28,7 juta jiwa. Angka ini terus meningkat tiap tahunnya. Lansia secara alamiah akan mengalami perubahan baik secara fisik dan mental yang dapat menurunkan kualitas hidupnya. Kualitas tidur dan fungsi kognitif pada lansia juga mengalami perubahan akibat faktor penuaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh senam yoga terhadap kualitas tidur dan fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang sifatnya literature review. Penelitian ini mempelajari topik-topik terkait pengaruh senam yoga terhadap kualitas tidur dan fungsi kognitif pada lansia dari penelitian-penelitiam sebelumnya. Literatur yang diulas dan dipelajari sebanyak 15 literatur dengan 8 literatur membahas pengaruh senam yoga terhadap kualitas tidur pada lansia dan 7 literatur lainnya mengulas pengaruh senam yoga terhadap fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa senam yoga yang dilakukan secara rutin baik dalam jangka panjang maupun pendek dapat memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas tidur lansia. Senam yoga juga dapat mempertahankan fungsi kognitif lansia dan mencegah lansia dari penyakit demensia dan alzheimer.Kata kunci : senam yoga, kualitas tidur, fungsi kognitif, lansia

Abstract

Abstract: Pregnant women are susceptible to various diseases, such as infectious diseases because fetus identified as a foreign object to immune system. Body will accommodate this situation with the immunosuppression process. Cellular immunity is last line of defense in pregnant women that susceptible to infection, researchers interested to conducting a literature review about role of cellular immunity in pregnant women. This study aims to determine role of cellular immunity in pregnant women. Collecting data use three databases, namely: Sciencedirect, Pubmed and Google Scholar. Ten literatures met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. It consists of various types of research designs: three cross-sectional studies, three article review studies, two case control studies, one systematic review study and one longitudinal study. The results of the literature review showed: Decreased number of T cells; CD8+ and Th1 cells activity is increased in viral infections; Th1 / Th2 shifting occurs during pregnancy; Infection that occurs during pregnancy likely to have a negative impact on the mother and the fetus; and Vaccination can increase immunity of the mother and fetus against infectious diseases. Cellular immunity maintains the stability of the functions of mother and fetus during pregnancy by adjusting the quantity between Th1 and Th2 cells.Keywords: Cell-mediated Immunity, Pregnant Women, Pregnancy   Abstrak: Wanita hamil rentan terhadap berbagai macam penyakit, seperti penyakit infeksi karena janin dianggap sebagai benda asing oleh sistem imun tubuh. Tubuh akan mengakomodasi keadaan ini dengan proses imunosupresi. Imunitas seluler menjadi lini pertahanan tubuh terakhir pada ibu hamil yang rentan terhadap infeksi membuat peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan literature review terhadap peran imunitas seluler pada ibu hamil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran dari imunitas seluler pada ibu hamil. Pencarian data menggunakan tiga database yaitu Sciencedirect, Pubmed dan Google Scholar. Sepuluh literature memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Terdiri dari berbagai jenis rancangan penelitian yaitu: tiga penelitian cross – sectional, tiga penelitian article review, dua penelitian case control study, satu penelitian systematic review dan satu penelitian longitudinal study. Hasil penelitian literature review menunjukan: Penurunan jumlah sel T; Aktivitas Sel T CD8+ dan Th1 meningkat pada infeksi virus; Shifting Th1/Th2 terjadi selama kehamilan; Infeksi yang terjadi pada saat kehamilan sangat mungkin memberikan dampak yang buruk bagi ibu dan janin; dan Vaksinasi bisa meningkatkan pertahanan tubuh ibu dan janin terhadap penyakit infeksi. Imunitas seluler menjaga kestabilan fungsi tubuh ibu dan janin selama kehamilan lewat penyesuaian kuantitas antara sel Th1 dan Th2.Kata Kunci: Imunitas diperantarai sel, Ibu Hamil, Kehamilan

Abstract

Abstract : Resistance or resistance training has been recommended as a widely used treatment strategy for dealing with bone loss. Types of exercise that can be done include walking, running, weights bearing, and swimming. According to WHO in 2018, more than 80% of the adult population worldwide has less physical activity. Studies show that resistant exercise can increase bone density. This literature review aims to determine the effect of resistance training on bone density. This study was in the form of a literature review with data searches using four databases, which are ClinicalKey, Pubmed, MedLine, and Google Scholar. Resistance exercise can increase bone density. There are two types of exercise, named aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Research has shown that anaerobic exercise is more effective in increasing bone mass density compared to aerobic exercise because anaerobic exercise provides a bigger mechanical load to the bones, which triggers the bones to regenerate. The conclusion is that resistance exercise can increase bone density.Keywords : Resistance exercise, bone density.  Abstrak : Latihan tahanan atau resisten telah direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pengobatan yang banyak digunakan untuk menghadapi hilangnya massa tulang. Jenis latihan yang bisa dilakukan antara lain jalan kaki, berlari, angkat beban, dan berenang. Menurut WHO pada tahun 2018, lebih dari 80% populasi orang dewasa di seluruh dunia memiliki aktivitas fisik yang kurang. Penelitian-penelitian membuktikan bahwa latihan resisten dapat meningkatkan kepadatan tulang. Tinjauan pustaka ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan resisten terhadap kepadatan tulang. Penelitian ini berbentuk literature review dengan pencarian data menggunakan empat database yaitu ClinicalKey, Pubmed, MedLine, dan Google Scholar. Kata kunci yang digunakan yaitu physical exercise ATAU resistance exercise ATAU resistance training ATAU effect of resistance exercise ATAU latihan tahanan ATAU latihan beban DAN bone mass ATAU bone mineral density. Latihan secara resisten dapat meningkatkan kepadatan tulang. Latihan dapat dilakukan dengan dua jenis, yaitu latihan aerobik dan anaerobik. Penelitian membuktikan bahwa latihan anaerobik lebih efektif dalam menungkatkan kepadatan massa tulang dibandingkan dengan latihan aerobik karena latihan anaerobik memberikan beban mekanik yang lebih besar untuk tulang sehingga memicu tulang untuk melakukan regenerasi.  Kesimpulannya adalah latihan resisten dapat meningkatkan kepadatan tulang.Kata Kunci : Latihan resisten, kepadatan tulang

Abstract

The Respiratory System plays an important role for humans. The main function of the respiratory system is to obtain oxygen (O2) required by the body’s cells and to expel carbon dioxide produced by the cells. Body Mass Index (BMI) influences lung volume. Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second (FEV1) is the lung capacity that includes the volume of air that can be forcefully exhaled in one second during a pulmonary function test. FEV1 is often used as an important parameter in evaluating lung function. This study aims to investigated the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), as well as Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 Second (FEV1), in adolescents. This research is an analytical observational study using a cross-sectional research design. Sampling was performed using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection involved measuring body weight and height to calculate BMI and measuring Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) using a spirometer. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests and Spearman’s correlation test. The study results revealed correlation between Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) and Body Mass Index in adolescents. Other results showed that there was no statistically significant relationship between Body Mass Index and FEV1s in adolescents.
