Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the actualization of the values ​​of pesantren in the practice of fatherly leadership at RA Al Ma'arif NU Plompong. This research is a natural qualitative research. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique which consisted of data reduction, data display and verification. The results showed that the head of RA Al Ma'arif NU Plompong actualized four pesantren values ​​that had relevance to the nature of fatherly leadership, namely authoritarian, charismatic, and participatory-collaborative values. Authoritarian values ​​are actualized by making PAUD policies and PAUD service programs. Charismatic value is shown by being a good role model. Then he showed the value of participatory-collaborative by intensely assisting and assisting teachers in their work. The actualization of pesantren values ​​in the practice of fatherly leadership has implications for the creation of a family atmosphere between leaders and teachers which makes teachers have a strong commitment to advancing the institution.

Abstract

The community service training on book chapter preparation for students is aimed at providing skills to IMM cadre students from the Ibrahim Commissariat of UIN Prof. K. H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto in compiling a book chapter on the theme of education entitled "Nalar Merah Pendidikan" (Red Reasoning in Education). This community service activity uses the service-learning method. With this method, the author organizes the training in four stages. First, the investigation stage. In the investigation stage, a needs analysis is conducted on participants related to the book chapter preparation activity. Second, the preparation stage. In the preparation stage, a training activity plan is prepared, materials and assignments are divided, and book chapter preparation materials are studied before providing training. Third, the action stage. In this stage, the book chapter is compiled according to the predetermined plan. The author uses interactive lecture and discussion methods to deliver the material and then the author, together with the participants, determines the framework or systematics of the book chapter to be compiled. In the reflection stage, conclusions are drawn up on the results of the book chapter preparation training for students. Conclusions are given to provide reinforcement to participants after they have participated in the training activities.
