Abstract

Air minum isi ulang merupakan salah satu alternatif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan air minum untuk masyarakat Kota Palembang. Akan tetapi banyak yang belum mengetahui kualitas air minum isi ulang yang telah sesuai dengan standar kualitas air minum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kualitas air minum yang dihasilkan beberapa depot air minum isi ulang yang berada di kawasan daerah Seberang Ulu  I dan Seberang Ulu II, Kota Palembang Sumatera Selatan.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode  survey yang bersifat deskriptif untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai parameter yang berhubungan langsung dengan kesehatan , meliputi pengujian total kromium, nitrat dan nitrit. Parameter yang tidak langsung berhubungan dengan kesehatan meliputi parameter fisik, yaitu total zat padat terlarut (TDS) dan suhu, serta parameter kimiawi meliputi pengujian kadar pH. Sampel air minum isi ulang diambil sebanyak lima sampel dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer uv-vis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan  di  Laboratorium BTKLPP  (Balai Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan dan Pengendalian Penyakit)  Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelima sampel air minum isi ulang memenuhi persyaratan  yang ditetapkan berdasarkan  Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia No.492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. Untuk sampel kelima, pH asam berdasarkan KEP.MEN.KES RI No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIonized alkaline drinking water is alkaline and has a high redox potential value which is a good antioxidant. Considering the consumption of alkaline drinking water there are still pros and cons in society because research on ionized alkaline water in Indonesia has not been widely published yet, so the researchers intend to conduct research on the physical, chemical and bacteriological parameters of ionized alkaline drinking water produced by Kangen Water LeveLuk machines SD 501 with the aim of knowing the quality of ionized alkaline drinking water, based on physical, chemical and bacteriological parameters. This research is descriptive qualitative. The quality inspection of ionized alkaline drinking water is carried out at the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office Laboratory, which includes examining physical parameters (odor, turbidity, taste, color, amount of dissolved solids (TDS)), chemical parameters (including pH, iron, fluoride, hardness checks , chloride, chromium valence 6, manganese, nitrate, nitrite, zinc, cyanide, sulfate, copper, aluminum), and bacteriological testing (including tests for coliform and colitinja). Based on the results of the study, the samples of ionized alkaline drinking water produced by households located in Lorong Amilin Rt 4 Rw 2, Kelurahan Tangga Takat, Seberang Ulu II, Plaju Palembang fulfilled the requirements stipulated under the Minister of Health Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No.492 / MENKES / PER / IV / 2010. Keywords: ionized alkaline water, physical, chemical, bacteriological parameters Abstrak Air minum alkali terionisasi bersifat basa dan  memiliki nilai potensial redoks yang tinggi yakni merupakan antioksidan yang baik. Mengingat konsumsi  air minum yang bersifat alkali masih terdapat pro dan kontra di masyarakat karena penelitian tentang air alkali terionisasi di Indonesia juga belum banyak dipublikasikan, maka peneliti bermaksud melakukan penelitian tentang parameter fisika, kimia dan bakteriologi  dari air minum beralkali terionisasi yang diproduksi mesin Kangen Water LeveLuk SD 501 dengan  tujuan dapat mengetahui  kualitas air minum alkali terionisasi, berdasarkan parameter fisik, kimia dan bakteriologi. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif.  Pemeriksaan kualitas air minum alkali terionisasi  dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, yaitu meliputi pemeriksaan parameter fisika (bau, kekeruhan, rasa, warna, jumlah zat padat terlarut (TDS)), parameter kimia (mencakup pemeriksaan pH, besi, fluoride, kesadahan, klorida, kromium valensi 6, mangan, nitrat, nitrit, seng, sianida, sulfat, tembaga, alumunium), dan  pengujian bakteriologi (meliputi uji adanya coliform dan colitinja). Berdasarkan  hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  sampel air minum  alkali terionisasi yang diproduksi indistri rumah tangga yang berlokasi di Lorong Amilin Rt 4 Rw 2 Kelurahan  Tangga Takat Kecamataan Seberang Ulu  II Plaju Palembang   memenuhi persyaratan  yang ditetapkan berdasarkan  Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia No.492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. Kata Kunci : air alkali terionisasi, parameter fisik, kimia, bakteriologi

Abstract

The acute research  toxicity test  of  Ipa  Glyphosate herbicide toward  mortality of sangkuriang catfish seeds (Clarias gariepinus) as a non target organism. The aim is to decide the concentrate of Ipa Glyphosate herbice that caused 50% mortality of sample (LC50) and the middle time mortality of sample (LT50. The toxicity test had done on March until May 2019 at Integrated Laboratory of PGRI Palembang University. Toxicity test of Ipa Glyphosate herbicide toward mortality of sangkuriang catsfish seeds used bioassay method for 96 hours. Concentrate that used: 29,3%, 34,2%, 39,7%, 45,6%, 52,1%, and 59,3%. The result of this research was got LC50  24 hours was 68,346%, 48 hours was 41,094%, 72 hours was 34,287%, 96 hours was 29,957%, and the result of LT50 for 29,3% concentrate was 79 hours, LT50 for 34,2% concentrate was got 76 hours, LT50 for 39,7% concentrate was got 68 hours, LT50 for 45,6% concentrate was got 42 hours, LT50 for 52,1% concentrate was got 41 hours, and LT50 59,3% concentrate was got 32 hours. Getting lower the concentrate of Ipa Glyphosate herbicide that used, it means more longer time needed to killing the sample.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Processing of coconut fruit in Gunung Megang Village, Gunung Megang Muaraenim District aims to produce pure oil or Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) which is the result of processed fresh coconut fruit by fermentation without going through a heating process, no additional chemicals, dyes, and preservatives so that it can survive. as vegetable oil. The method in this research is experimental. The results showed that making VCO using 2 coconuts produced 100 ml of VCO while VCO using 3 coconuts produced 300 ml of pure oil. It is hoped that the use of coconut fruit is not only sold in the form of unprocessed fruit but coconut fruit can be processed into pure oil or Virgin Coconut Oil and can be developed more broadly through village entrepreneurship programs so as to increase people's income, especially the people of Gunung Megang Village. Keywords: virgin coconut oil, fermentation, gunung megang village

Abstract

The Sungkai plant has become a trending topic lately because of its benefits, which are believed by some people to be used in preventing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus by boiling some of its leaves using water. The purpose of this research was to examine the active ingredients contained in sungkai leaves (Peronema canescens Jacks) which were extracted by infundation (water solvent) and extracted by maceration (methanol solvent). The method used in this study is a qualitative chemical analysis. Phytochemical screening in this study, namely the alkaloid test (using Mayer, Wagner, and Dragendroff reagents), flavonoid test, tannin test, saponin test, steroid test, terpenoid test. Based on the results of the study, the results of the phytochemical screening of the methanol extract of sungkai leaves by maceration showed that all of the active compounds contained were positive, while the positive infundament extract contained flavonoids, steroids, terpenoids, tannins, saponins, but negative alkaloids.

Abstract

Research on Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) Growth Responses to Application of Organic Nutrients from Kepok Banana Peel Waste (Musa acuminata L.), aims to examine the provision of appropriate nutrient concentrations for eggplant plant growth. This study used the RAL experimental method, namely the administration of banana peel organic nutrients consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications, namely P0 (without nutrients), P1 (100 ml/L of nutrients), P2 (200 ml/L of nutrients), P3 (300 ml). /L nutrients), P4 (400ml/L nutrients) and P5 (500ml/L nutrients). The results showed that the growth response of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) to the application of organic nutrients from kepok banana peel waste (Musa acuminata L.) in the P5 treatment gave the highest yield at an average plant height of 7.5 cm, number of leaves 5, 5 strands and a stem diameter of 0.38 cm while the lowest average value was found at P0 with an average plant height of 4.75 cm, number of leaves of 3.25 strands and a stem diameter of 0.27 cm.

Abstract

The manufacture of herbal medicine must pay attention to sanitation and hygiene so that it is free from bacterial contamination. The presence of bacteria that exceeds the threshold set by BPOM RI can have a negative effect on health. This study aimed to analyze the total plate count and Escherichia coli contamination in herbal medicine at KM 5 Market, Kemuning District. This study used a survey method by making direct observations accompanied by sampling at the herbal medicine seller and continued with laboratory examinations. The results showed that the total plate number in herbal medicine gendong 1 was 41.5 x101 colonies/ml which was still below the threshold limit, herbal medicine gendong 2 was 185.5 x 105 colonies/ml and herbal medicine gendong 3 was 21.5 x 105 colonies/ml. above the threshold. Three samples of carrying herbal medicine tested negative for E.coli bacteria.

Abstract

Processing palm oil into palm oil produces solid waste in the form of empty palm fruit bunches (TKKS) which will cause environmental pollution. The aim of this research is to find out how to manage waste from empty oil palm fruit bunches into compost which is needed by plants as a natural nutrient. The research method uses experimental methods. The results of the research resulted in TKKS being able to be processed into compost by fermentation.
