Abstract

This study aims to describe an increase in learning outcomes by applying the Make A Match learning model to early childhood at GMIM Kindergarten Bukit Zaitun Manado. This study used classroom action research using the Kemmis and Taggart models which consisted of four stages, namely: the planning, implementation/action, observation and reflection stages. By carrying out two cycles, the research results were obtained as follows: (1) There was an increase in learning outcomes before treatment and after applying the make a match learning model in learning activities with the theme of plants.

Abstract

The teacher's lack of knowledge of the learning model used resulted in the learning process at Christian Rehobot Manado PAUD not attracting children's attention. This can be seen from the number of children there are 15 children, and those who already know the symbols for numbers 1-10 there are 5 children while the other 10 children do not know the symbols for numbers 1-10 well. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to describe the increase in the ability to recognize the symbols of numbers 1-10 through the talking stick learning model for children in Christian PAUD Rehobot Manado. The research method used was classroom action research referring to Kemmis & Taggart (in Taniredja, et al 2011: 24) with 4 stages consisting of planning, implementation/action, observation and reflection with two cycles. Data collection techniques were carried out based on observation and interview guidelines. The results achieved in cycle I indicated that the indicators were maximal according to the indicators that there were 5 children while the other 10 children did not know the symbols for numbers 1-10 well. While the results of the second cycle increased, the results of achieving indicators were 12 children who received 4 stars and were declared successful. For this reason, it can be concluded that with the talking stick learning model, the child's ability to recognize the number symbols 1-10 increases.

Abstract

The goal to be achieved in this study is to get an overview of the application of examples non examples models in improving learning outcomes of cognitive development in early childhood at Idhata Malalayang Kindergarten, Manado City. This research is a class action research and the model used is a process model (Kemmis & Taggart, 1988). The learning model with 2 learning models was developed through 2 research cycles. In each research cycle is taken through four stages of research concerning: planning, implementation of activities, observation and reflection. The main data in this study are PG-PAUD teachers and students who are the research subjects. The results achieved in this study were in the first cycle the formative average value was 30% (15 students) and in the second cycle the formative average value was 90% (15 students). This shows that the results achieved are strongly influenced by the increased results and students' abilities in learning determined by several aspects in the Example Non Example learning model such as: (1) learning that is tailored to the interests and needs of children, (2) providing direct experience to children, (3) child-centered learning, and (4) evaluation is carried out both by the students themselves as well as with the teacher to see learning gains based on the success criteria for achieving the goals set in the learning design. So it can be concluded that the application of the Example Non Example learning model can improve the learning outcomes of PAUD students in cognitive development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengembangkan karakter jujur pada anak di TK Katolik Santa Bernadette Karombasan melalui penerapan metode bermain peran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk medeskripsikan penerapan metode main peran untuk mengembangkan karakter jujur pada anak di TK Santa Bernadette Karombasan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart dilaksanakan tiga kali siklus dengan langkah-langkahnya yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah anak TK Katolik Santa Bernadette Karombasan kelompok B yang berjumlah 20 orang anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan catatan lapangan serta analisa data menggunakan teknik penilaian di TK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siklus I 71,6 % dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan setelah dilakukan perbaikan menjadi 85% dan siklus III meningkat lagi menjadi 96,6%. Diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan metode bermain peran dapat meningkatkan pengembangan karakter jujur pada anak di TK Katolik Santa Bernadette Karombasan.
