Abstract

SMK Negeri 7 Semarang has 64 classes consist of 9 departments. The transition period of learning system from SMP to SMK creates various students’ adaptation ability. Based on the psychological scales, there were 7 of 36 students (20%) of Class X TKR 1 who had low or less adaptation ability. The objectives of this reaserach are: (1). to know the effectivity of the Cognitive Restructuring Technique in increasing students’ adaptation ability of Class X TKR 1 SMK Negeri 7 Semarang; (2). To know the significancy of the increasing of the students’ adaptation ability through Cognitive Restructuring Technique for students of Class X TKR 1 SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. This is a Guidance Counseling Action Research. The subjects were 10 students of Class TKR 1. Data were collected through observation, psychological scales, and interviews. The quantitative and qualitative data were analized descriptively and comparatively, by comparing the conditions in precycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2. The result showed that (1). based on the observation, the indicator of adaptation and good category of restructuring cognitive in cycle 1 increased 62%, from 15% to 77%, subjects with enough category decreased from 56% to 18%, whereas subjects with less category decreased from 29% in cycle 1 to 5% in cycle 2; (2). based on the measurement of adaptation ability through psychological scales of adaptation, high category of adaptation increased from)% in precycle and cycle 1 to 50% in cycle 2, medium category increased from 30% in precycle to 80% in cycle 1, and decreased to 50% in cycle 2. The decreasing happened because in cycle 2 there were some subjects belonged to the high category. Subjects in less category were 50%, they decreased to 20% in cycle 1 and 0% in cycle 2. Subjects in low category were 20% in precycle, and they decreased to in cycle 1; (3). the average scores of the students’ adaptsation ability increased 26.40% from the early condition to cycle 1.Students’ adaption ability increased 11.65% from cycle 1 to cycle 2 after the imrpovement in cycle 2. Thus, in average, the subjects in this research could increased to 41.12%. Restructuring Cognitive could increase the students’ peer relations and productivity and could decrease students’ dependency, hostility, and withdrawal.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 7 Semarang is a Technology and Industry Vocational School and is one of favourite vocational schools. Various backgrounds and abilities of students cause various levels of self-esteem possession. Based on the spread psychological scales, there were about 25% (12 of 36) of students of Class XI TMO 1 had self-esteem with low and less categories. This research was aimed to know (1). the effectivity of the training assertive technique in improving the self-esteem of students of Class XI TMO 1 SMK Negeri 7 Semarang; (2). the level of students’ self-esteem improvement through Assertive Training Technique for Students of Class XI TMO 1 SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. This is a counselling guidance action reearch. The subjects were 8 students of Class XI TMO 1. The hypothesis was that through Assertive Training Technique, the self-esteem of students of Class XI TMO 1 could be improved. Data were collected using observations, psychological scales, and interviews. The quantitative dan qualitative data were analyzed descriptively and comparatively, by comparing the conditions in precycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2. The result showed that (1) good self-esteem indicator increased from 23.75% in cycle 1 to 68.75 in cycle 2, or 45%, subjects with enough category decreased from 70% to 31.5%, whereas subjects with less category in cycle 1 (6.25%) did not appear in cycle 2 (0%); (2) high category increased from 0% in cycle 1 to 37.5% in cycle 2, medium category increased form 0% in precycle to 70% in cycle 1 but it decreased to 62.5 in cycle 2. The subjects in the less category in precycle were 87.5, in cycle 1 they decreased to 12.5% and they became 0% in cycle 2. The subjects in low category were 12.5%, no changes in cycle 1, but in cycle 1 they became 0%; (3). Students’ self-esteem, in average, increased 14,32% from the early condition to cycle 1. From cycle 1 to cycle 2, students’ self-esteem increased 14.96%. It was proven that Assertive Training Technique could increase students’ self-esteem (31.42%). Thus, generally this technique was good to be implemented for a big number of students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of family harmony on self-esteem among students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. The population in this study was 612 with a sample of 37 students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression analysis method with the help of SPSS 25 to process the data. The data collection tools used in this research are the family harmony scale and the self-esteem scale, both of these scales use a Likert scale. The results of this research state that family harmony has an influence on self-esteem, where the higher the family harmony, the higher the self-esteem or self-esteem that students have for themselves. This can be seen from the output results of the hypothesis test that the calculated F value is 123,636 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, and the correlation value (R) is 0.883, from the output data we obtain a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.779, which means that the influence of the independent variable (family harmony) on the dependent variable (self esteem) is 77.9%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the depiction of learning discipline among 11th-grade students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this research comprises all 11th-grade students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang, totaling 612 students. The sample taken in this study consists of 191 11th-grade students. The sampling technique used is random sampling. For data collection, a Likert scale of learning discipline is used, and data analysis is conducted using SPSS 23 and Excel. Based on the research results on the "depiction of learning discipline among 11th-grade students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang," it can be concluded that the learning discipline of 11th-grade students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang falls into the High category, with a percentage of 59.2%, which accounts for 113 students. Meanwhile, the remaining 78 students, or 40.8%, fall into the medium category. Thus, according to the categorization obtained, the depiction of learning discipline among 11th-grade students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang is classified as high.

Abstract

Efikasi diri merupakan aspek penting dari pengetahuan diri dalam kehidupan sehari-hari karena mempengaruhi individu dalam menentukan tindakan yang diperlukan untuk mencapai tujuannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efikasi diri pada siswa kelas XI SMKN 7 Semarang dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 153 siswa kelas XI SMKN 7 Semarang yang dipilih dengan metode sensus pada tanggal 11-15 Desember 2023. Data dikumpulkan melalui Google Forms dan dianalisis menggunakan model statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat efikasi diri yang tinggi, dengan skor rata-rata 2,63 untuk level; 2,58 untuk generality; dan 2,70 untuk strength. Meskipun ketiga indikator tersebut tergolong tinggi, indikator generality mendapatkan skor terendah dibandingkan dengan dua indikator lainnya. Disarankan agar mahasiswa mengeksplorasi minat dan bakat mereka dengan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan-kegiatan informal untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan mereka, yang akan berguna di masa depan.Â
