Abstract

This research is motivated by problems that occur in the field that have not been carried out active mathematics learning, fun and have not used the right learning model. This research is an experimental research that aims to give the influence of the Discovery Learning Model to the Learning Outcomes and Flat Build Area in Class IV SD. This type of research is Quasi Experiment. The population in this study is elementary school students who are in Cluster IX Koto Tangah District. Withdrawing this sample with Cluster Sampling. Samples were 60 people. Before determining the sample, prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity are carried out. The instrument used was an objective test in the form of multiple choice. Based on the analysis of t-test data results with a significant level (0.05) obtained t count (3.933) and t table (1.67155) with t count> t table (3.933> 1.67155). So, Ha accepted that there was the influence of the Discovery Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes and Flat Build Area in Class IV SD IX Cluster Koto Tangah District.
