Abstract

PT Andalan Bunda Bijak is a company engaged in the distribution of baby equipment. In running its business, PT Andalan Bunda Bijak implements a system called MySoft to assist the company's business activities. The business development of the company has not fully run optimally. This is because there are still problems related to risk management (no SOP for handling problems, no division to handle problems, and no problem recording) and information security (no information security policy and no information security training). With this problem, it is necessary to measure the level of capability in corporate information technology governance. This study was conducted to analyze the level of corporate information technology governance capability using the COBIT 5 framework. This study uses 3 domains (EDM, APO, and DSS) and 4 processes (EDM03, APO12, APO13, and DSS05) obtained from the mapping results of PT Andalan Bunda Bijak's vision, mission, goals, and strategies for the problems faced by the company. Data was collected by interviewing the company's operational leaders and managers and observing the systems, documents, and company environment. The results of this study determined that each process was at level 1 (performed process). There is a gap of 1 level between the level of capability of the company's current state and the level of capability of the company's expectations. There are 28 recommendations for improvement given to the company.

Abstract

The utilization of the Peoplesoft Campus Solution (MyUMN) technology, which has become excessively outdated, necessitates an evaluation, development, and rejuvenation of MyUMN to address any occurring issues with definitive solutions. An assessment of the Information Technology governance capability level is carried out using the COBIT 2019 framework. This research focuses on the following specific objectives: BAI03 (Managed Solutions Identification and Build), BAI06 (Managed IT Changes), and BAI07 (Managed IT Change Acceptance and Transitioning). The measurement results reveal that the capability levels for all three objectives are at level 2, while the targeted capability level is at level 4. Consequently, there exists a gap between these two levels. Recommendations encompass prioritizing the documentation of application development and conducting routine reviews of all completed change requests to ensure the alignment of change requests

Abstract

The development of information technology has been leveraged by state-owned enterprises (BUMN) operating in the fields of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul, as well as industrial services in Indonesia. Among the company's 21 priority projects, three projects have been identified as experiencing delays in the planning phase related to the delivery of business requirements. The measurement of IT governance capability was conducted using the process rating of COBIT 2019. The selected process objectives were APO02, APO03, and APO05. The results of the capability level measurement indicate that APO02, APO03, and APO05 have reached level 2. Based on the measurement results, findings have been identified that require improvement, especially in APO03, such as providing understanding to key stakeholders about enterprise architecture and enterprise architecture design. As a recommendation for improvement, it is expected that the company can engage in Enterprise Architecture design to align strategic program priorities with architectural objectives.

Abstract

The growth of Information Technology within companies has been following its advancements. However, the unattained objectives stem from inefficient transitional systems within the company, leading to inaccurate data and project delays, consequently hindering the fulfilment of corporate expectations. This study aims to offer developmental recommendations through the assessment of IT governance capabilities. The measured capabilities reveal that objectives within processes BAI03, BAI05, and APO03 are stagnant at level 2. The findings from these processes highlight areas for improvement that can be rectified by the company. The proposed enhancements align with recommendations focusing on transitional system development and monitoring to enhance data transition efficiency, thus establishing a monitoring system to mitigate errors resulting from inefficient data transitions.

Abstract

The development of information technology today has had a significant impact on various aspects of human life, including in the industrial sector. One example is the integration of information technology in company operations to use it as a supporting tool for sending data and information which is the main reference for organizational management in decision making. To measure the level of capability of the IT system used, companies can use the COBIT 2019 framework, which not only helps in assessing the suitability of IT systems, but also provides recommendations for solutions to problems faced by the company. For example, research results show that problems related to data backup failures have been identified in Domain DSS01, with recommended solutions such as implementing policies related to information security from outsourced employees, establishing internal management processes, setting up timely incident tickets, and implementing recommendations to overcome non-compliance.
