Abstract

The rapid increase in social media activity has triggered various discussion spaces and information exchanges on social media. Social media users can easily tell stories or comment on many things without limits. However, this often triggers open debates that lead to fights on social media. This is because many social media users use toxic comments that contain elements of racism, radicalism, pornography, or slander to argue and corner individuals or groups. These comments can easily spread and trigger users vulnerable to mental disorders due to unhealthy and unfair debates on social media. Thus, a model is needed to classify comments, especially toxic ones, in Indonesian. Transformer-based model development and natural language processing approaches can be applied to create classification models. Some previous research related to the classification of toxic comments has been done, but the classification results of the model still require exploration to get optimal results. So, this research uses the proposed model by using different pre-trained models at the embedding and classification stages, in the embedding stage using Indonesia bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (IndoBERT), and classification using multilingual bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (MBERT). The proposed model provides optimal results with an F1 value of 0.9032.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the main problems still faced by Indonesia today. To help find the right solution, an annual prediction of the poverty rate in Indonesia is needed. This study uses data on the 'Ratio of the Number of Poor People in Indonesia per year from 1998 to 2023' obtained from data.worldbank.org. The prediction methods used in this study include the Naïve Model, Double Moving Average, Double Exponential Smoothing, ARIMA, Time Series Regression, and Neural Network, with a total of 26 models. Of the 26 models, only 19 models passed the model comparison stage. Based on the evaluation results using the RMSE, MAE, MAPE, and MDAE metrics, it was concluded that the NNETAR Neural Network model showed the best performance among the six methods used to predict the poverty ratio in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari masalah adanya ketidakadilan, kesadaran, dan nilai usaha yang diekspresikan melalui puisi “Al-‘Adl Wa Al-Kasb” karya Abdurrahman as-Syukri. Penyair seakan-akan ingin memberikan nilai moral dan ekpresi simbolisme terhadap realita yang terjadi di masyarakat. Berangkat dari masalah ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan ketidakadilan, kesadaran, nilai usaha, nilai moral, dan ekspresi simbolisme yang terdapat di dalam puisi Abdurrahman as-Syukri menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi karya sastra Wellek & Werren. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggambarkan, menginterpretasikan, dan memahami makna yang terkandung dalam puisi “Al-‘Adl Wa Al-Kasb”. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode studi pustaka (library research) yaitu dengan mencari dan mengumpulkan data terkait dengan puisi, konteks sosial, dan teori yang relevan melalui sumber-sumber pustaka seperti artikel, jurnal, dan penelitian sebelumnya yang memiliki keserupaan. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Puisi ini merepresentasikan realitas ketimpangan sosial yang terjadi dalam kehidupan masyarakat, khususnya dalam penegakan keadilan dan penghargaan atas usaha, 2) Dari sisi tujuan sosial dan moral, puisi ini menyerukan pentingnya kesadaran kolektif untuk menghargai perjuangan dan ketulusan, dan 3) Simbolisme yang digunakan menunjukkan nilai-nilai luhur seperti kebebasan, perjuangan, dan harapan, yang justru dihantam oleh sistem yang menindas.
