Abstract

Abstract

This article tries to parse various gender biases that are found in many things such as leadership, education, social, inheritance to the depiction of various facilities in heaven as if justified by Islam. Whereas the main error lies in the error in understanding the Qur’anic text which is less extensive and the error in perceiving the interpreters of the Qur’an which is predominantly made by men. It can’t be helped, the solution is to put the above problems proportionally by tracing the root of the problem, examining the principles of gender equality in the Qur’an, exploring various interpretive biases in all Islamic literature, and finally the importance of socializing understanding that is not gender bias towards various concepts in Islam. By using this methodology, it is hoped that understanding of gender bias can be minimized and avoided, giving birth to a form of understanding that is more just, equitable and equivalent, which benefits progressive understanding of Islam in the future. With this effort, it is hoped that this understanding will become the starting point for a new, gender-free understanding of Islam, not an understanding that always contains gender bias in it.

Abstract

Community empowerment is a development process in which local residents take the initiative to start social activities aimed at improving their conditions and overall quality of life. In this context, training programs are designed to enhance specific skills, knowledge, and attitudes to help individuals develop their potential based on the needs and resources of their local area. One relevant form of training to support regional development is handicraft training. This particular activity involved housewives from the POSPAUD community as the primary participants, while university students from the KKN program served as facilitators and organizers. The training adopted the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes identifying and utilizing local assets and strengths to promote sustainable community growth and improved social structures. The results of this initiative showed that the training on making wooden cellphone stands was effective. Participants gained practical skills and knowledge, which sparked motivation among the POSPAUD members to explore entrepreneurship in the handicraft sector. Their motivation was influenced by their available free time as housewives and the existence of market opportunities for handmade products with selling value. Several key indicators are used to assess entrepreneurial motivation, including self-confidence, goal and task orientation, risk-taking ability, leadership, creativity, innovation, and a future-oriented mindset. Therefore, this training program served as a strategic intervention to empower the local community. It successfully encouraged the development of home-based businesses while fostering greater independence and economic resilience.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (KKN) aims to explore and implement the use of rice washing water as an additional nutrient and environmentally friendly liquid organic fertilizer (POC) for chili plants in a greenhouse located in Balongsari Village, Gedeg District, Mojokerto Regency. Rice washing water, which is often discarded, is rich in essential nutrients such as B vitamins and minerals that can support plant growth. Through this approach, the program seeks to reduce domestic waste and promote more sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The expected outcomes of this program are increased knowledge and skills of local farmers in using environmentally friendly organic materials, as well as demonstrating that rice washing water can be effectively used as a nutrient supplement and liquid organic fertilizer. The program also aims to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable agricultural practices and improved waste management, with positive impacts on the environment and agricultural yields.
