Abstract

Jaya Hasil Laut is a company that produces, sells fish in the form of canned food. As for the problems faced by the company, namely the process of selecting the head of production which is less accurate, the company determines the head of production based on production employees. The process of determining the head of production is carried out based on a recap of the names and values ​​of permanent employees received from the production department. The process of determining and selecting the head of production is processed using a semi-computerized system so that data errors from permanent employees often occur and the process of calculating and determining the head of production takes a long time, and new assessment criteria are needed in the selection of production heads to get more effective results. To overcome the problems mentioned above, a decision support system is needed in determining the head of production who will be appointed as head of production at PT. Jaya Hasil Laut. Decision Support System or Decision Support System is a system that is able to provide problem solving skills and communication skills for problems with semi-structured and unstructured conditions. This system is used to assist decision making in determining the head of production. By applying the SAW method is very appropriate for the selection of production heads. The SAW method is able to simplify an unstructured complex problem so that the results of the selection of production heads can be obtained in the form of ranking.
