Abstract

Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Pediatric Association (IDAI), said that Covid-19 cases in children in the country increased by 11-12 percent. During the pandemic, the number of deaths of children under five increased by 50 percent or there were 1,000 deaths in children every week. UGM epidemiologist, said that actually from the beginning children have a risk of being infected with sars cov-2. He mentioned that in DIY itself the first case of Covid-19 was in children.(1) Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is needed by students at school to avoid various diseases. one of them is washing hands with soap and clean water as well as healthy snacks.(2) The purpose of this service is to provide information and education about PHBS for orphanage children, so that they are able to have PHBS. The method used begins with opening, introduction, prayer, and presentation of health education materials, question and answer sessions, evaluation, games, door prizes, closing and group photos. The results of this activity, orphanage children understand PHBS, the orphanage management is helped because children have received information and provision of PHBS during the co-19 pandemic.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Children can optimally achieve 4 aspects of development (fine motor, gross motor, language, and social) if they get stimulation from an early age. Many factors affect the growth and development of children. Parents or companions can do the stimulation. Parents, especially mothers, play an essential role in the process of growth and development of children. Currently, mothers have various roles, one of which is being a working mother.Objective: This study aimed to determine the correlation between the mother's employment status and the development of toddlers aged 3 to 5 years at Permata Hati Al Mahalli Method: This is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. This study used total sampling to get 35 respondents of mothers and toddlers. Data collection was carried out using mother respondent identity sheets and the results of the Pre-screening Developmental Questionnaire (PDQ) for assessing toddler development. Data analysis in this study was carried out using Chi-Square.Result: This study showed that there were 7 (35%) toddlers with dubious development out of 20 working mothers and 1 (6.7%) toddler with dubious development out of 15 non-working mothers. The chi-square test results showed df = 1 at a significant level of 5% with a p-value of 0.048 <0.05.Conclusion: Mother's employment status is significantly correlated with the development of toddlers aged 3 to 5 years at Permata Hati Al MahalliKeywords: Mother's employment status, toddlers’ development

Abstract

Breast cancer is the cancer that most often attacks women in Indonesia (28.7%). Mortality is high in breast cancer sufferers, especially in developing countries, which is known as the practice of Sadari (Self-Examination of Breasts). Profile data from the Klaten Health Service, cases of early detection of breast cancer in 2022 have increased compared to 2021. For the 2021 examination results, there were 643 people, 19 of whom were positive (3%). This research aims to determine the effect of counseling using leaflets and video media on female students' knowledge and attitudes of BSE. This type of research is pre-experimental research. The design used is one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in the research was all 97 female students from SMAN 1 Wonosari. with an accidental sampling technique and the statistical test used was Wilcoxon. Results of analysis there is an influence of counseling using video media and leaflets about BSE on the attitudes of female students at SMAN 1 Wonosari with a p-value of 0.000. The average attitude increased by 100%. Conclusion: It is hoped that the Education Department and the Health Service will collaborate in efforts to prevent breast cancer among women, especially teenagers, in all regional schools by conducting outreach on early detection of breast cancer using BSE using video media and leaflets.
