Abstract

AbstractIntroduction. There is much evidence of a relationship between salt intake and blood pressure levels. Limiting sodium chloride consumption significantly lowers blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to study the effectiveness of lowering blood pressure while limiting salt intake in men and women with high and normal blood pressure.Materials and methods. An annual study was conducted, a prerequisite of which was the selection of 2 groups: survey and comparison. They were comparable in terms of gender, age, professional composition and number of participants. To carry out a dietary examination required limiting the salt in the cooking to 0,5 g per serving. Results and discussion. After one year of dietary intervention, a significant decrease in systolic (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) was found in men and women in the intervention group (p < 0,05) compared to the control group, which showed a natural decrease in blood pressure, a significant decrease in blood pressure was observed during the study period (p < 0,05). In addition, there was a significant decrease in body weight in the intervention group compared with the control group.Conclusions. Reduced salt intake significantly reduced SBP and DBP in men and women with high blood pressure over a longer follow-up compared with the control group.

Abstract

Introduction: In order to study in more detail the subjective assessment of the effectiveness of antihypertensive monotherapy, the questionnaires of patients were structured. They were divided into groups according to the drugs used by patients belonging to a particular clinical and pharmacological group: beta-blockers and calcium antagonists. The purpose of this study was to study of subjective factual and prognostic assessment of patients' effectiveness of treatment. Materials and methods: Methods such as: questionnaires of patients (content analysis of case histories) were used. Data processing was performed using statistical and mathematical methods and graphical analysis. Results and discussion: There were some patterns of lowering blood pressure in patients on the background of monotherapy of hypertension and patients following the doctor's instructions for treatment. Conclusions: As a result of the study, it was found that most patients follow the recommendations of doctors on the appointment of antihypertensive drugs.

Abstract

Abstract Cardiovascular morbidity leads the world in the morbidity rate structure. An arterial hypertension and a stable angina are widely occurring among the population and, in terms of medical and social significance, stand at the head of the circulatory system diseases. The combination of these diseases is observed in 2/3 of patients. An important challenge for cardiology is to ensure a rational approach to the choice of medications for effective antianginal and antihypertensive therapy, its compliance with accepted treatment quality standards, the development of clear and scientific-based criteria for the use of medications, improvement of the patients’ quality of life while reducing the economic costs for medications supply. Purpose. To develop an approach to the optimization of medications supply for patients with ischemic heart disease in combination with arterial hypertension in inpatient and outpatient practice, based on the use of pharmacoeconomic and pharmacoepidemiological researches. Materials and methods. To assess the prescription structure of the various groups of antihypertensive and antianginal medications, an analysis of the past medical history in patients with ischemic heart disease in combination with arterial hypertension was carried out. Variation statistics methods have been applied in mathematical data processing. Results. Beta-blockers prevailed, followed by angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, calcium channel blockers, and diuretics were found in the structure of medicinal benefits when prescribing pharmacotherapy to patients with stable angina pectoris with arterial hypertension. Conclusions. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the combination therapy in most cases was based on beta-blockers, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, diuretics in various combinations with each other.

Abstract

Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases are the primary socio-medical problem of the industrialized countries of the world. One of the most important in terms of increasing life expectancy and the preservation of the viability and quality of life is the solution to the question of the proper therapy of cardiovascular diseases and their timely prevention. The purpose of this study was to determining the structure of patients' use of antihypertensive drugs, as well as to study the subjective factual and prognostic assessment of patients' effectiveness of treatment.
