Abstract

Abstract This study analyzed the types of the slang words found in The Song Lyrics of Cardi B in The Invasion of Privacy Album. This study used qualitative method to identify the data finding descriptively based on the theory proposed by Patridge (2004) used to find out types of the slang. The data analysis was presented through formal and informal method. The result is three types of slang words found in this song lyric by Cardi B in The Invasion of Privacy Album, namely society slang, slang in art, slang in medicine. Keywords: slang words, types of slang words, Invasion of Privacy Album Abstrak Penelitian ini menganalisis jenis kata slang yang terdapat dalam Lirik Lagu Cardi B dalam Album Invasi Privasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengidentifikasi temuan data secara deskriptif berdasarkan teori yang dikemukakan oleh Patridge (2004) yang digunakan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis slang. Analisis data disajikan melalui metode formal dan informal. Hasilnya adalah tiga jenis kata gaul yang ditemukan dalam lirik lagu ini oleh Cardi B dalam Album Invasi Privasi, yaitu bahasa gaul masyarakat, bahasa gaul dalam seni, bahasa gaul dalam kedokteran. Kata kunci: kata gaul, tipe kata gaul, Invasion of Privacy Album
