Abstract

Where does education begin? and when is a person appropriate to receive education? Of course, there are many answers that we can convey. But what we must understand is how important it is to convey special education to children from an early age. In this writing, Tabgha Batam Theological College also volunteered to take part in educating children and providing education related to environmental hygiene. Besides that, by cleaning up our environment as educators, we can also provide knowledge about cleaning waste, namely some that can be directly thrown into the trash, but there is also waste that can still be utilized, which means that there is waste that can still be commercialized and given to scavengers. Thus the educators also teach to love others as well as to clean and also the health of the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Abstract: This academic work is based on the author’s observation of the inaccurate understanding of blessings among Christians. This inaccuracy is related to the belief that blessings are solely material. To clarify this issue, the author researched to explain the various blessings given by God. Using a literature review method, the author searched for data through both text interpretation and reading literature data. The interpretation of Deuteronomy 28:1-14 is conducted using the general principles and methods of biblical interpretation proposed by Hasan Sutanto, and further elaborated with Maslow's theory of needs. The findings of this research reveal that material possessions are just one aspect of the blessings bestowed by God upon the nation of Israel. Therefore, Christians should not view material wealth as the sole blessing that God provides, but rather as one component of the overall blessings.

Abstract

Gratitude is acceptance of one's condition in any condition. This attitude is crucial for Christians to have as a form of respect for God's sovereignty. However, the importance of this attitude is often not found in Christians, especially when experiencing difficult times. One of the reasons is the belief that the blessings given by God are only material things in the form of wealth. This view then influences the gratitude of people who receive God's blessings. To anticipate the formation of this thought pattern, guidance is needed in understanding God's blessings as a whole. This coaching activity is intended to answer this problem. Using research results that have been published regarding God's blessing in Deuteronomy 28:1-14, the implementers carry out coaching using the lecture method. The coaching targets two mutual aid communities in Batam City, OMEFA and Family Batam. The participants were given coaching in four stages to provide a complete understanding of God's various blessings, which are very broad. This coaching is expected to make participants aware of God's blessings apart from material wealth.
