Abstract

ABSTRAKKabupaten Banyuwangi merupakan kabupaten terluas di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang terletak di ujung Pulau Jawa. Sektor perikanan memiliki potensi untuk terus dikembangkan dalam rangka mewujudkan ketahanan pangan dan sebagai sumber protein yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh manusia. Kelompok Budidaya Ikan Susukan Lestari di bawah binaan Desa Tambong, telah berhasil melahirkan suatu terobosan untuk memberikan nilai tambah bagi desa dengan menghadirkan lokasi wisata edukasi yang bergerak dibidang perikanan dan pertanian. Namun, kualitas air yang digunakan masih sangat rendah,  khususnya tingkat kekeruhan yang menjadi permasalahan dalam perkembangan usaha ini. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan  pendampingan untuk penerapan water treatment atau pengolahan air sebelum dialirkan ke kolam budidaya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Lokasi Wisata Edukasi Perikanan dan Pertanian Desa Tambong, Kecamatan Kabat, Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Alat yang digunakan berupa mesin pompa untuk memompa air dari sungai menuju wadah filter. Wadah Filter yang digunakan tiga buah dengan kapasitas 350 liter. Selanjunya bahan filter yang digunakan adalah batu zeolite, ijuk, pasir silika, dakron, japmat (penyaring mekanis), arang aktif dan kaporit. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan filter memberikan pengaruh terhadap perubahan kadar nitrat, pH dan total plankton. Sedangkan perubahan kekeruhan dapat diamati langsung secara fisik dan memberikan pengaruh yang sangat berbeda. Kata kunci: desa Tambong; wisata edukasi; pengelolaan air; kekeruhan ABSTRACTBanyuwangi Regency is the largest district in East Java Province which is located at the tip of Java Island. The fisheries sector has the potential to continue to be developed to realize food security and as a source of protein that is needed by humans. The Susukan Lestari Fish Cultivation Group under the guidance of Tambong Village has succeeded in creating a breakthrough to provide added value to the village by presenting educational tourism sites engaged in fisheries and agriculture. However, the quality of the water used is still very low, especially the level of turbidity which is a problem in the development of this business. This activity is carried out by assisting with the application of water treatment or water treatment before it is channeled into the cultivation pond. This activity was carried out at the Tambong Village Fisheries and Agriculture Educational Tourism Site, Kabat District, Banyuwangi Regency. The tool used is a pumping machine to pump water from the river to the filter container. Filter containers used 3 (three) pieces with a capacity of 350 liters. Furthermore, the filter materials used are zeolite stone, palm fiber, silica sand, darkon, japmat, activated charcoal, and chlorine. The measurement results showed that the filter treatment affected changes in nitrate levels, pH, and total plankton. Meanwhile, changes in turbidity can be observed directly physically and have very different effects. Keywords: tambong village; educational tourism; water treatment; turbidity.

Abstract

Keadaan ekonomi yang sulit tidak jarang menyebabkan berbagai permasalahan seperti kesehatan, stunting, dan kemiskinan yang berakibat pada kriminalitas. Masalah kemiskinan ini masuk kategori serius dan masuk kedalam program prioritas yang direncanakan oleh Desa Pondok Nongko dan Kecamatan Kabat, sehingga harus segera diatasi agar tercipta peningkatan ekonomi. Upaya upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan ekonomi dan mandiri finansial salah satunya melalui pemberdayaan perempuan yang berfokus pada istri para nelayan yang tidak memiliki pekerjaan. Pemberdayaan dilakukan dalam bentuk program pengembangan ekonomi kreatif guna menciptakan kemandirian finansial melalui pelatihan pembuatan kerupuk ikan menggunakan alat potong kerupuk semi otomatis. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi: persiapan, penyuluhan, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan demonstrasi. Pengabdian ini membawa manfaat yang baik bagi warga Desa Pondoknongko. Salah satunya adalah kemampuan warga meningkat dari proses pembuatan kerupuk ikan, pengolahan, hingga pengemasan yang menarik untuk dipasarkan. Pemberian alat potong kerupuk otomatis sangat membantu dan mempermudah sehingga sangat efektif dan efisien untuk menekan biaya produksi (biaya SDM potong kerupuk manual) dan menekan waktu proses produksi.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan mengimplementasikan keramba jaring apung sebagai alternatif budidaya ikan bagi nelayan di Desa Pondok Nongko, Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Desa tersebut memiliki potensi sumber daya perikanan yang cukup besar, namun metode budidaya ikan yang berkelanjutan masih menjadi tantangan bagi nelayan setempat. Metode keramba jaring apung dipilih karena dapat meningkatkan produktivitas budidaya ikan secara efisien dan ramah lingkungan. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini, dilakukan pelatihan kepada nelayan mengenai teknik pembuatan, pemasangan, dan pemeliharaan keramba jaring apung. Selain itu, penyuluhan mengenai manfaat penggunaan teknologi ini untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi ikan dan pendapatan nelayan juga diberikan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman nelayan tentang manfaat dan implementasi keramba jaring apung. Selain itu, terlihat adanya peningkatan produksi ikan yang berkelanjutan, meningkatkan taraf hidup nelayan, dan mendukung keberlanjutan sumber daya perikanan di Desa Pondok Nongko. Dengan adanya alternatif budidaya ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat nelayan secara keseluruhan dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap ekonomi lokal. Keberlanjutan dan penyebarluasan metode ini diharapkan dapat diikuti oleh desa-desa sekitarnya, sehingga dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap pengembangan sektor perikanan di Kabupaten Banyuwangi.

Abstract

Solar dryers have problems with low heat transfer performance and uneven temperature distribution, resulting in low efficiency. The efficiency of solar dryers depends on the design of the absorber plate, namely how much it can absorb solar heat. This study applies a Siepinski carpet with a complex structure and large dimensions, resulting in iterations called fractals. This study aims to improve the efficiency of solar dryers as an alternative to the negative impact of falling tomato prices, to determine the effect of the Siepinski Carpet Corrugated fractal distance on the performance of solar dryers in terms of heat transfer, to compare corrugated absorber plates with 3 siepinski carpet corrugated based on variations in the fractal ratio (RF), namely the ratio of the fractal center distance to the fractal length RF = 1, RF = 0.75, and RF = 0.6, on the performance of solar dryers, as well as to determine the distribution of temperature, pressure, and air flow velocity in the collector using the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation method. This study used simulation methods that was conducted in a laboratory. In conclusion, the fractal ratio strongly influences airflow behavior and temperature distribution, where overly dense or overly open configurations enhance heat transfer, while intermediate obstruction can reduce thermal performance. Among the cases studied, RF = 1 and RF = 0.6 provide more effective and consistent heat transfer compared to RF = 0.75.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of welding parameters on the tensile properties of ASTM A36 steel using the Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) method for medical storage applications. ASTM A36 is widely used due to its good weldability and ductility, making it suitable for tank fabrication in medical systems. The research focuses on the effects of varying current (120 A, 135 A, 150 A) and voltage (22 V, 24 V) settings without the application of Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT). Tensile tests were performed to assess the mechanical strength of the welded joints. The results indicate that the welding setting of 120 A and 22 V produced the highest tensile strength of 464.8 MPa. In contrast, higher current settings, particularly 135 A, led to a reduction in tensile performance. The findings demonstrate that appropriate control of welding parameters is crucial to achieving optimal tensile strength in FCAW-welded ASTM A36 components for medical storage systems.

Abstract

The development of mobility in the commercial sector drives innovation in transport tools such as motorized tow carts. This study analyzes three support frame design variations using Aluminum 6063 and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). A static load of 3,924 N was applied evenly at three points along the -Y axis. Simulation results showed that Variation 1 generated a maximum Von Mises stress of 43.409 MPa, deformation of 0.62483 mm, and safety factor of 4.9529. Variation 2 yielded stress of 35.493 MPa, deformation of 0.66134 mm, and safety factor of 6.0575. Variation 3 yielded 35.487 MPa, 0.66071 mm, and the highest safety factor of 6.0586. All values remain below the material’s yield strength of 215 MPa and above the minimum required safety factor of 1.25. Variation 3 is deemed optimal.

Abstract

Motorcycles are piston-engined vehicles that are widely used in society. Because of the ease of use, lower prices, and more efficient operational costs compared to other means of transportation. The engine produces performance in the form of power and torque which can be increased by increasing the quality of the fuel used as an energy source in the engine. The dependent variable in this study is the power test, torque test and specific fuel consumption test. The aims of this study were (1) to determine the performance and specific fuel consumption produced by motorcycles by mixing pertalite and ethanol fuels. (2) to find out how much the composition of the fuel mixture can produce the best performance. Comparison of 4 variations of fuel types, namely: pure Pertalite (100%), Pertalite 90% + 10% Ethanol, Pertalite 80% + 20% Ethanol, Pertalite 70% + 30% Ethanol. This study used a dynotest with the specifications of the super dyno 50 L-Inertia as a test tool for power, torque and specific fuel consumption. The engine speed is varied from 1000 to 10000 with a range of 1000 between rpm. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it shows the effect of mixing pertalite and ethanol on the performance and specific fuel consumption of a 150 cc four-stroke motorbike. The maximum engine performance is obtained from the fuel mixture (90% Pertalite + 10% Ethanol) with a power of 0.72 kW at 8000 rpm engine speed, the largest torque is 0.75 Nm at 4000 rpm engine speed, and the lowest specific fuel consumption is 2.6178 kg/kW hour at 8000 rpm engine speed.
