<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the very low achievement of student learning at SMP Negeri 18 Buton because the selection of methods in conveying material about Looking to the Future with Optimism, Endeavor and Tawakal is still not quite right. The lecture method is still the mainstay method chosen by the teacher, so students just sit quietly and listen to the teacher's lecture. The purpose of this study was to improve student achievement in applying the concept of Islamic Religious Education to the subject of Looking to the Future with Optimism, Endeavor and Tawakal through the Make A Match Method. This study uses the Make a Match method in learning. The subjects in this study were class IX-1 students of SMP Negeri 18 Buton for the 2019/2020 academic year with a total of 13 students. The research data is in the form of primary data, namely the results of direct observation of student activities. The data analysis technique used to analyze the data in this study is a quantitative descriptive statistical technique. The results showed an increase in learning completeness in each cycle. In the early stages, only 31% or 4 of the 13 students in class IX-1 completed and got an average grade of 61, the first cycle that was completed was 69% or an increase of 38% and the class average score became 68 or an increase of 7 From the first cycle to the second cycle, students who have completed their studies become 100% or an increase of 31% with a class average score of 82 or an increase of 14. So using the make a match method can improve student achievement in class IX-1 SMP Negeri 18 Buton 2019/2020 academic year. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh Perolehan prestasi belajar siswa sangat rendah di SMP Negeri 18 Buton karena pemilihan metode dalam menyampaikan materi tentang Menatap Masa Depan dengan Optimis, Iktiar dan Tawakal masih kurang tepat. Metode ceramah masih menjadi metode andalan yang dipilih oleh guru, sehingga siswa hanya duduk, diam dan mendengarkan ceramah guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dalam menerapkan konsep Pendidikan Agama Islam pada materi Menatap Masa Depan dengan Optimis, Iktiar dan Tawakal melalui Metode Make A Match. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Make a Match dalam pembelajaran. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX-1 SMP Negeri 18 Buton Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 dengan jumlah 13 siswa. Data penelitian ini berupa data primer yaitu berupa hasil observasi langsung terhadap aktivitas siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar pada tiap-tiap siklus. Pada tahap awal yang tuntas hanya 31% atau 4 siswa saja dari 13 siswa kelas IX-1 dan mendapatkan nilai rata-rata kelas 61, siklus pertama yang tuntas menjadi 69% atau meningkat 38% dan nilai rata-rata kelas menjadi 68 atau meningkat 7. Dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua siswa yang tuntas belajar menjadi 100% atau meningkat sebesar 31% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 82 atau meningkat 14. Jadi dengan menggunakan metode make a match dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas IX-1 SMP Negeri 18 Buton tahun pelajaran 2019/2020.]]>
