Abstract

ChatGPT has gained attention worldwide. In the medical education field, ChatGPT, or any similar large language model, provides a convenient way for students to access information and practice their skills. ChatGPT can simulate patient interactions, allowing students to practice their diagnostic and communication skills in a safe and controlled environment. ChatGPT can also answer questions and provide explanations for complex medical concepts. There have been attempts involving ChatGPT to assist researchers in writing journal articles. Due to its capabilities, ChatGPT has the potential to be abused and sparking ethical concerns. Unwise researchers can now employ ChatGPT to write academic articles. Similarly, irresponsible students, might utilize ChatGPT to cheat during exams. We investigated whether ChatGPT, in its current state, can answer Indonesian medical doctor examination problems. Among the 3 problems that we have picked, ChatGPT can only correctly answer 1 question. We also examine whether ChatGPT-generated abstracts can fool professionals and educators. We have brought 6 abstracts, 3 of which are taken from actual published papers, while the other 3 were generated by ChatGPT. We recruited 12 participants with either a medical doctor (M.D.), a doctorate (Ph.D.), or an M.D., Ph.D. degree from various institutions in Indonesia. Surprisingly, 4 of the participants couldn't guess a single abstract correctly, 6 could only identify 1 abstract accurately, one correctly guessed 2 abstracts, and one correctly identified 3 abstracts. Therefore, it is safe to say that ChatGPT, in its current state, has been able to fool professionals and educators.

Abstract

Since ChatGPT was first publicly available in November 2022, it has sparked attention worldwide. Some believe that ChatGPT might revolutionize our lives. There have been interesting discussions surrounding ChatGPT. In this chance, we explore the potential use of ChatGPT in the HR industry. For HR managers, the use of AI in HR has traditionally been limited to simple tasks, but ChatGPT's ability to understand and respond to natural language input opens up new possibilities for automating more complex HR tasks such as interviewing and onboarding. On the other side, ChatGPT can also help job seekers to get their dream jobs. To begin with, ChatGPT can be employed to find out the benefits and working environment in a specific company, although it should be noted that ChatGPT's answers cannot be blindly trusted. ChatGPT can also prepare a cover letter, a motivation letter, an application email, etc. Job seekers can even ask ChatGPT to act as an interviewer in an interview mockup. We present ChatGPT utilization examples in the HR world. In this article, we also conducted a mini experiment to investigate whether, in its current state, ChatGPT can generate a convincing cover letter that is able to fool HR specialists. The results showed that among the 5 study participants, none of them were able to correctly guess all of the letters, with the average correct answers of only 2 of 4 cover letters. Lastly, we also discuss the potential benefits and challenges of using ChatGPT in the HR industry in this article. Nevertheless, we argue that ChatGPT introduces a HR world’s paradigm shift.

Abstract

Due to its rapid development, artificial intelligence (AI) has gained a lot of popularity in many sectors, including pharmacological sciences. In pharmacological sciences, AI has been applied in various areas, from AI-driven drug discovery and genomic sequencing to the development of personalized medicine. Subsequently, the need for pharmacists with adequate AI-related skills and knowledge increases. However, the current traditional curriculum of pharmacy education does not cover AI courses. To elaborate on the current developments in AI-driven pharmacology and present the discussion of the possibility of whether AI-related courses should be included in the current curriculum. We have gathered 32 references on AI-driven pharmacological applications, pharmacy curricula, and the future trends of pharmacological sciences. The literature is obtained from online databases such as Scopus, PubMed, IEEE, and Google Scholar. Based on the literature reviews, we presented the discussion and scientific-based opinion on the need for AI-related courses in the school of pharmacy. We believe that AI will be the basis of future pharmacological development. Hence, we consider that it is the right time to include AI-related courses in the student's curriculum to prepare future-proof pharmacists.
