Abstract

Soil Fertility Status Based on Level and Slope in Arabica Coffee Plantations in Central Aceh DistrictAbstract. Gayo Arabica Coffee is quite well-known in Indonesia, because it has a distinctive taste and is one of the leading export commodities. This study aims to determine the status of soil fertility based on the height and slope of the land planted with Arabica coffee in Central Aceh District. The method used is a survey followed by field observations. The soil parameters analyzed namely; organic C, total P₂O₅, total K₂O, CEC and KB. Determination of fertility status is guided by the PPT Center for Soil Research, Bogor (1995). Soil samples were analyzed at the Soil and Plant Research Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. The results showed that the status of soil fertility based on the height and slope of the land planted with Arabica coffee in Central Aceh district was low to high. Soil fertility is an obstacle to soil fertility status. Low Cation Exchange Capacity and Base Saturation
