Abstract

This research was conducted in the Brantas River, Curungrejo Village, Kepanjen District, Malang Regency. The purpose of this study was to identify the presence of local fish in the Brantas River, Curungrejo Village, Malang Regency. The method used in this study is descriptive method with data collection including primary data and secondary data. Data collection was carried out by means of active participation, observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results obtained from this research are that there are various types of fish in the waters of the Brantas River, Curungrejo Village, Kepanjen District. There were 5 species of fish caught during the study, namely Tawes Fish (Barbonymus gonionotus), Wader Pari Fish (Rasbora argyrotae), Snakehead Fish (Channa striata), Mujair Fish (Oreochromis mossambicus) and Catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The most dominant species in the waters of the Brantas River is the Pari Wader Fish (Rasbora argyrotae) with a total catch during the study of 25 fish. The conclusion obtained in this study is that the most dominant species in the waters of the Brantas River is Wader Pari fish (Rasbora argyrotae) with a total catch during the study of 25 fish.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pendapatan nelayan dalam bentuk nilai tukar nelayan berdasarkan alat tangkap di Kabupaten Probolinggo. Penelitian dilaksanakan di 7 (tujuh) kecamatan Kabupaten Probolinggo. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian di Kabupaten Probolinggo dikarenakan daerah ini merupakan salah satu sentral perikanan perikanan tangkap. Metode enelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rumah tangga nelayan termasuk kategori ini adalah rumah tangga nelayan yang jumlah pendapatannya sebagai nelayan di periode bulan Oktober lebih besar dari jumlah pengeluarannya. Kelompok yang memiliki nilai tukar > 100 ini meliputi 4 rumah tangga nelayan yakni : Rumah Tangga Nelayan Pancing Ulur (144 poin), Purse Seine (262 poin), Payang (153 poin) dan Jaring udang (189 poin) .

Abstract

Based on FAO data (2010) cited by Khairuman and Amri (2008), the global market demand for fish was still experiencing a supply shortage of 2 million tons per year until 2010. This study discusses the comparison of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) breeding techniques between Jatimbulan at the Freshwater Aquaculture Development Unit in Pasuruan Regency and the Livestock and Fisheries Office in Bondowoso Regency. The aim is to determine the differences in Nile Tilapia breeding techniques between Jatimbulan at the Freshwater Aquaculture Development Unit in Pasuruan and the Livestock and Fisheries Office in Bondowoso, as well as to identify the best breeding methods to achieve superior breeding results, particularly in Nile Tilapia breeding. This research employs a comparative research method. The breeding techniques at the Freshwater Aquaculture Development Unit in Pasuruan and the Fisheries Office in Bondowoso both adhere to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for Nile Tilapia breeding techniques, SNI 7389:2017. The only difference lies in the facilities. The Freshwater Aquaculture Development Unit in Pasuruan has better water source facilities, larger pond sizes, and more extensive land. Therefore, the natural breeding technique for Nile Tilapia at the Freshwater Aquaculture Development Unit in Pasuruan is more effective in producing Nile Tilapia seeds with a higher survival rate
