Abstract

K.H. Imam Zarkasyi provides evidence of the success of Islamic boarding school education, namely; The results of his scientific and spiritual education are in the form of mental provisions that will be used as capital for life, and with strong spiritual and mental capital, obtained while studying at madrasas and Islamic boarding schools, it is proven that he has the courage to live and find his own way of life; as farmers, traders, businessmen, teachers, preachers, officials and others. The courage to live encourages him to like work, without waiting for job opportunities provided by others. On the spiritual and mental aspects, namely Faith and Piety are invaluable driving forces for fulfilling the aspirations of the nation, and it would be better if these mental capitals were accompanied by adequate skills. But keep in mind, that a person's ability and enjoyment of work does not lie in the skills he already has, but in the underlying mentality and being the driving force. History records that many heroes have fallen from madrasas and Islamic boarding schools, and those who are still alive do not expect rewards or service stars

Abstract

Sosialisasi penerimaan mahasiswa baru merupakan bagian penting dalam strategi promosi perguruan tinggi di tengah persaingan yang semakin ketat. Namun, metode konvensional yang selama ini digunakan dinilai kurang efektif dalam menjangkau calon mahasiswa secara luas, terutama di era digital. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan memanfaatkan video promosi sebagai media sosialisasi penerimaan mahasiswa baru di STAI Darussalam Bangkalan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif-kolaboratif dengan tahapan identifikasi kebutuhan, perencanaan, produksi, editing, implementasi, serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi strategi konvensional dan digital melalui pemanfaatan video promosi mampu meningkatkan jangkauan informasi dan keterlibatan audiens. Video yang dikembangkan dalam format lanskap dan potret berhasil dipublikasikan melalui media sosial seperti YouTube, Instagram, dan TikTok, sehingga memperluas akses informasi bagi calon mahasiswa. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan kapasitas panitia PMB dalam mengelola media digital secara lebih efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and the supporting and hindering factors of The Takror Method for enhancing Qur’an memorization among tenth-grade students. The method, a strategy in Qur’an memorization through regular repetition, strengthens memorization, minimizes mistakes, and helps students maintain their memorization in the long term. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was used in this research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation for validation. The findings revealed that the planning of the method was systematically structured through teacher guidance and a well-organized schedule. The implementation of the method to enhance the memorization skills of the students involved several stages, including reading the Qur’an repeatedly, memorizing incrementally, recalling without the mushaf, integrating memorized verses, reviewing old memorization, and presenting the memorization to the teacher. Supporting factors included student discipline, active teacher involvement, a conducive environment, a structured memorization schedule, and internal motivation. However, hindering factors consisted of differences in students' baseline abilities, monotony from repetition, time limitations, inconsistent independent review, and psychological challenges. Future research could explore ways to overcome these obstacles and investigate the long-term impact of the method on Qur’an memorization.
