Abstract

One of the obstacles someone in communicating is the lack of language skills, so experiencing errors in language. Language errors occur in anyone, both children and adults and seniors, it depends on the person understanding the language properly and correctly according to applicable rules. Whereas in the use of language, children like to repeat the language they hear and then say it back to the speaker, so that language errors are more widespread because it is done repeatedly. But language errors occur because some people do it on purpose to be funny, to start, or to attract attention and to encourage others to think more intensely. This study aims to analyze language errors that often occur among school children or adolescents. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods that describe data about the language errors of school children im the city of Situbatu. The data in the form of the facts of the error were obtained using the observation method and the results of listening in the field, besides that the data collection techniques in this study used a recording tool to record all the informant's conversations in the environment. The results showed that language errors that occur in school children or adolescents are more dominant morphological errors, as well as the use of language that deviates by speaking using slang or Alay used in everyday life so that it becomes a habit
