Abstract

Tantangan pendidikan Abad 21 menekankan pada pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran tentunya mengiring akan peningkatan kemampuan/kompetensi guru dan siswa dalam memanfaatakan teknologi atau dikenal dengan Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Pemanfaatan ICT bagi guru agar lebih optimal dalam pembelajaran, maka perlu dilakukan pelatihan. ICT Menggunakan Aplikasi Animasi Powtoon Bagi Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri di Kota Padang. Dipilihnya 21 guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) Se-Kota Padang sebagai subyek dampingan karena MIN selama ini menjadi stakeholder bagi Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, namun disisi lain guru di MIN masih jarang mendapatkan pelatihan–pelatihan pemanfaatan ICT dalam pembelajaran, sehingga menjadi tanggung jawab pengabdian meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan menggunakan aplikasi tersebut sangat mereka butuhkan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajarannya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada 21 guru MIN di Kota Padang ini dilakukan pada hari Sabtu, tanggal 03 dan 10 September 2022 dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui: “Persepsi guru madrasah setelah mendapatkan pendampingan pemanfaatan aplikasi animasi Powtoon sebagai media pembelajaran”. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukan adanya persepsi positif peserta pelatihan terlihat dari isian pada kolom kesan dan saran dalam angket yang disebar setelah pengabdian dengan terkategori antusias dan positif dari para guru MIN se Kota Padang. Kesimpulannya persepsi guru MIN se-Kota Padang setelah mendapatkan pendampingan berupa pelatihan pemanfaataan animasi Powtoon sebagai media pembelajaran tergambar antusias, positif, dan bemanfaat. The challenges of 21st-century education emphasize the use of technology in learning. The use of technology in learning certainly accompanies an increase in the ability/competence of teachers and students in utilizing technology or ICT. Utilization of ICT for teachers to be more optimal in learning, it is necessary to conduct training. ICT Using Powtoon Animation Applications for Teachers of State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Padang City. The State Islamic Madrasah (MIN) teachers throughout the city of Padang were chosen as the assisted subjects because the State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MIN) had been stakeholders for the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. In addition, teachers at MIN still rarely receive training in using ICT in learning. In contrast, the knowledge and skills in using these applications are very much needed to improve their learning quality. Community service activities for State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MIN) teachers in Padang City aim to discover: “Perceptions of madrasa teachers after receiving assistance on using the animation application as a learning medium”. The results of this study indicate a perception of the training participants can be seen from the impressions and suggestions in the research questionnaire, which are categorized as enthusiastic and positive by the MIN teachers throughout the city of Padang. In conclusion, the perceptions of MIN teachers in the city of Padang after receiving training on using Powtoon animation as a learning medium are enthusiastic, positive, and beneficial.

Abstract

Current teaching practices still rely on printed images and text materials. This is due to the need for educators' ability to develop digital-based learning materials, resulting in students often becoming bored during lessons. Additionally, the abstract nature of the learning material often requires further explanation. This community service aims to assist elementary school teachers in utilizing e-student worksheets teaching materials with the support of the Live Worksheet application. This community service employs the Community Based Research (CBR) model through training and mentoring. The results show an improvement in the competency of elementary school teachers in utilizing e-student worksheets as teaching materials.
