Abstract

Pada paper ini diulas mengenai prinsip operasi dari internet of things sebagai salah satu bidang penelitian yang saat ini sedang berkembang. Mikrokontroller yang berperan besar sebagai perangkat keras aplikasi internet of things dipaparkan spesifikasi dan fiturnya secara lengkap. Internet of things platform dipaparkan berdasarkan fungsinya. Ada yang berfungsi untuk mengolah dan memvisualisasikan data dari mikrokontroller untuk kebutuhan monitoring dan pembuatan keputusan, lalu ada yang berfungsi untuk mengendalikan aktuator yang dikontrol oleh mikrokontroller secara otomatis menggunakan perangkat mobile atau pc. Kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing mikrokontroller dianalisis dan dijadikan bahan acuan serta studi perbandingan untuk mengembangkan metode baru.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) dilakukan di PT WIMA terkait peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai implementasi sistem penggerak roda belakang menggunakan sistem Continously Variable Transmission (CVT) pada kendaraan sepeda motor listrik. Kegiatan PkM yang telah dilaksanakan berdasarkan target percepatan transisi kendaraan berbahan bakar bensin ke kendaraan listrik. Hasil dari kegiatan PkM berupa demonstrasi dan implementasi desain dan prototype kepada mitra PkM. Berdasarkan hasil penyebaran kuesioner kepuasan mitra dengan dua orang responden dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh responden menjawab cukup puas dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM. Selain itu berdasarkan hasil jawaban responden terhadap kuesioner keberdayaan mitra terdapat peningkatan keberdayaan dari aspek pengetahuan. Community Service Activities (PkM) were carried out at PT WIMA related to increasing knowledge regarding the implementation of a rear-wheel drive system using a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) system on electric motorbikes. The PkM activities that have been implemented are based on the target of accelerating the transition from petrol vehicles to electric vehicles. The results of PkM activities are in the form of demonstrations and implementation of designs and prototypes for PkM partners. Based on the results of distributing partner satisfaction questionnaires with two respondents, it can be concluded that all respondents answered that they were quite satisfied with the implementation of PkM activities. Apart from that, based on the results of respondents' answers to the partner empowerment questionnaire, there was an increase in empowerment from the knowledge aspect

Abstract

Information technology and computing technology are currently being developed simultaneously to be able to provide information that is processed automatically so as to provide a system that can be used to facilitate human activities. Currently, the smart home is a technology that continues to be improved, such as speed and accuracy in the process inside. This study aims to design a Smart Home application that uses the basic concept of the Internet of Things (IOT) using the Hybrid Mobile-based Rapid application development (RAD) method. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) method focuses on developing an application quickly, precisely and adaptively. By using the RAD method, the smart home application can be applied to Hybrid Mobile where the condition of some electrical equipment in the house can be controlled remotely, namely using a smartphone application or WEB application. From the results of this study the system can monitor and control several electrical equipment at home using the button command feature on mobile and web applications.

Abstract

The cause of global warming occurring in the world originates from the transportation sector, particularly Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles using fossil fuels. As a response, the Indonesian government has enacted regulations aimed at accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles. Electric vehicles developed in Indonesia encompass two-wheeled, three-wheeled, four-wheeled, and other types that operate by utilizing electrical energy stored in the vehicle's battery. One notable development involves the conversion of ICE motorcycles into electric motorcycles. This study seeks to assess the investment feasibility of implementing convertible motorcycles from economic, environmental, and social perspectives. The economic aspects are evaluated by calculating net present value (NPV) and payback period (PP), with the study's results demonstrating the economic viability of implementing convertible motorcycles. Furthermore, environmental considerations involve the comparison of chemical substances emitted as pollutants, with the results indicating the feasibility of this approach due to its potential to reduce air pollution. Lastly, the social aspect encompasses the review of potential impacts should converted electric motorcycles be produced on a large scale. The success of implementing convertible motorcycles necessitates the collaboration of various stakeholders, including the government, small and medium enterprises, electricity service providers, and the awareness of the public.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry extensively utilizes machining and casting processes for die fabrication. Due to the inherent dimensional inaccuracies and surface roughness of casting, machining is often required to achieve desired accuracy and finish. Traditional computerized numerical control machining relies on individual programming using macro programming or computer-aided manufacturing software for operations such as facing, which can be inefficient and prone to error. This study aims to evaluate and compare the efficiency and accuracy of macro programming and CAM 2.5D in CNC milling specifically for press die manufacturing. Macro programming is used for automating complex and repetitive machining by incorporating variables, expressions, and logic directly to machine whereas CAM 2.5D refers to programming using software in G-code format with capability to work not only two-dimensional planes but also limited vertical movement. Experimental results indicate that CAM 2.5D offers a time-saving advantage by about 2 hours while macro programming allows for greater accuracy in machining. Industries are encouraged to utilize both macro programming and CAM 2.5D to achieve a balance of speed, accuracy, and flexibility, optimizing their CNC machining processes for both large-scale and precision-focused operations.

Abstract

This research develops an IoT-based machine condition monitoring system capable of real-time monitoring of machine power consumption to enhance operational efficiency and predictive maintenance in industrial settings. The system utilizes the ACS712 current sensor to detect electrical current consumed by the machine. Using the Thingspeak platform, data collected from the sensor is periodically sent to a cloud server and displayed in a dashboard format, enabling remote monitoring. The monitoring program is designed to reduce the data load on the server, with data being transmitted every 10 seconds to minimize irrelevant data redundancy. In testing, the system successfully transmitted data to the Thingspeak server stably, despite occasional connectivity disruptions between the microcontroller and server. Over a total testing duration of one hour, 100 data samples were successfully uploaded, showing an average current of 2.8 Amperes and power of 550 Watts, with an operational voltage range of 220-235 Volts. The uploaded data is not only used for monitoring machine conditions but can also be further integrated into analysis to support better data-driven decision-making in industrial environments.
