Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat literasi secara nasional maupun didalam budaya sekolah, maka menuntut sekolah untuk menemukan solusi dan inovasi untuk menggerakkan budaya literasi di kalangan peserta didik maupun masyarakat.  Oleh karenanya kepala sekolah harus memiliki sebuah program inovasi.  Salah satu inovasi yang diangkat ialah Duta Literasi atau DURASI, dimana duta literasi ini nantinya akan membantu unit sekolah yaitu perpustakaan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi literasi di kalangan peserta didik terkhusus SMPN 40 Surabaya.  Duta Literasi ini diambil dikarenakan diperlukannya sebuah program literasi yang mampu meningkatkan partisipasi peserta didik, oleh karena itu dengan melibatkan peserta didik dalam salah satu program sekolah sehingga tingkat partisipasi peserta didik meningkat.  Program ini memiliki kelebihan yaitu dekat dengan peserta didik dikarenakan peserta didik akan disosialisasikan dan didorong oleh teman sebaya nya serta dukungan dari sekolah sehingga program ini akan sangat efektif jika diterapkan dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi peserta didik di literasi sekolah.  Penerapan program DURASI ini dapat meningkatkan partisipasi peserta didik dan warga sekolah dimana terdapat 3 karya buku yang telah terbit yang dibuat oleh warga sekolah, peserta didik, dan Komite Sekolah.  Selain itu juga terdapat kumpulan-kumpulan cerpen yang dibuat oleh peserta didik.

Abstract

The low level of literacy both nationally and in school culture requires schools to find solutions and innovations to drive a culture of literacy among students and the community. Therefore the principal must have an innovation program. One of the innovations raised is the Literacy Ambassador or DURASI, where this literacy ambassador will later help the school unit, namely the library, to increase literacy participation among students, especially SMPN 40 Surabaya. This Literacy Ambassador was taken because of the need for a literacy program that is able to increase student participation, therefore by involving students in one of the school programs so that the level of student participation increases. This program has the advantage of being close to students because students will be socialized and encouraged by their peers and support from the school so that this program will be very effective if implemented and aims to increase student participation in school literacy. The implementation of the DURASI program can increase the participation of students and school members where there are 3 published books made by school residents, students, and the School Committee. In addition, there are also collections of short stories made by students.

Abstract

Schools also have a role in creating a clean and comfortable environment, through the implementation of the cilung (love the environment) program at SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya it is hoped that this will be in line with government programs. The method used in implementing this program is school action research. The results of the implementation of the program carried out by all school members as well as assistance from several other related agencies, were able to change the environment of SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya which was originally dirty, arid and uncomfortable into a school with a clean, green, beautiful and comfortable environment.Sekolah juga mempunyai peran dalam mencipatakan lingkungan yang bersih dan nyaman, melalui penerapan program cilung (cinta lingkungan) di SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya diharapkan bisa sejalan dengan program pemerintah. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program ini adalah penelitian tindakan sekolah. Hasil pelaksanaan program yang dilakukan oleh segenap warga sekolah serta bantuan dari beberapa instansi lain yang terkait, dapat mengubah lingkungan SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya yang semula kotor, gersang dan tidak nyaman menjadi Sekolah dengan lingkungan yang bersih, hijau, asri dan nyaman.
