Abstract

ABSTRACTResearch on pest populations of Paraeucosmetus pallicornis Dallas has been carried out on rice plantation cultivation in South Minahasa District. The aim of this research is to know the population of P. pallicornis pest at various altitude places in South Minahasa District. The study was conducted for three months from September to November 2016. The research used survey method while sampling was done by Stratified Sampling consisting of three altitude places from above sea level (asl) that is 0 - 200 meters asl, > 200 - 400 meters asl, and > 400 meters asl in rice field in South Minahasa District, North Sulawesi Province. At each altitude stratum three terraced plots were determined as sample locations. Sampling was done 3 times, ie at plants aged 7, 9, and 11 weeks after planting (wap). Observation of population of P. pallicornis was done by using insect cages measuring 90 cm long, 90 cm wide and 150 cm high made of bamboo as a skeleton and covered with gauze. The results showed that the average pest population of P. pallicornis at various altitude places in South Minahasa District, the highest was found at altitude > 200 - 400 meters asl reach 52.88, then altitude 0 - 200 meters asl 34.33 and altitude > 400 meters asl 17.55. The average pest population of P. pallicornis at the highest plant age range was found at 11 wap to 49.66, then 9 wap 30.99 and 7 wap 24.20.Keywords : Populations, Altitude places

Abstract

ABSTRACTLeaf rust caused by Puccinia allii is one of the many diseases that attack onagricultural crops (horticultural crops). The existence of this disease can causevarious plant organs to become damaged, especially in leaf organs which are thetarget of a pandemic from the spread of the leaf rust disease. One of themicroorganisms that can be used to suppress plant diseases is Trichoderma spp. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the ability of Trichoderma sp and the use ofpropineb fungicide in controlling rust fungus on leeks in Sinsingon Village, PassiTimur District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency.This research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Indonesian Center forFood Crops and Horticulture Research (BPTPH) and then continued in SinsingonVillage, Passi Timur District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Field research wasarranged in a Randomized Block Design with 4 treatments that were repeated 6 times.The treatments were: A. Control, B. Trichoderma was applied to leaves, C.Trichoderma was applied to soil, D. Propineb fungicide. What was observed was thepercentage of attacks. Observations were made before being given treatment,treatment is done once a week after the first observation. The results showed (1)Microorganisms antagonist Trichoderma sp. effective in controlling P. allii leaf rustdisease.Keywords: leaf rust disease, Trichoderma sp, fungicide, leeks, P.allii.

Abstract

ABSTRACKThis study aims to determine the symptoms of disease and the incidence of white rust inchrysanthemum plants in Kakaskasen II, Tomohon City. This research was conducted at theGreen House of chrysanthemum farmers in Kakaskasen II Village, Tomohon City in July untilSeptember 2020. The results of observations of symptoms of attack and incidence of rust diseasePuccinia horiana on chrysanthemum plants in Kakaskasen II, Tomohon City from the firstobservation to the last observation tend to remember with an average incidence of disease attackin Green House A is 45.90% and an average incidence of white rust disease in Green House B is36.86%.Keywords: White Rust Disease, Chrysanthemum Plants
