Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the characteristics of the estuary Malalayang which have an impact on the floodplain. This research was conducted by using the method of identification by viewing the variables that affect observations floodplain. Characteristics estuaries studied the nature of the estuary of the river, the water discharge, water quality, sedimentation and tidal. How to get the data through (1) Software ArcView to calculate the slope of the river and see Malalayang watershed flow patterns, the high point seen in RBI Map Scale 1: 50,000 Sheet 2417-23. Elevation Map / Contour Manado City used to look bathymetry of the estuary Malalayang. (2) Water discharge is obtained by the equation Q = V.A. (3) Water Quality visits with Tracer tool Pocketester pH, TDS and Salt. (4) The precipitation data obtained from BMKG Kayuwatu. (5) Data obtained from sediment trap sediment. The results showed that the characteristics of estuary Malalayang impact on floodplain: (1) the type tidal estuary leaning daily Malalayang dual pairs occur more frequently so that the deposition of sediment is more going on than spending sediments to the sea (sediment volume measured during the first month ie 294 372 cm3). (2) The pattern of flow in the watershed Malalayang is a dendritic pattern so that the discharge of water from upstream and water at high tide in the estuary can be restrained so that when the estuary Malalayang no longer able to accommodate the volume of water, then an overflow into the floodplain. (3) Bathymetry Coastal Estuary Malalayang Malalayang which is at a steep conditions.  Keywords: Estuary, Tidal, Sediment, Bathymetry

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study aims to identify the occurrence of mass movement in the village Rumengkor and calculate the volume of soil that experienced mass movement in the village Rumengkor. The research was carried for three months from June to August 2014. Research using survey method with the method of design through several stages which includes the identification of mass movement through the inventory and analysis (taking into account the secondary data and primary data darihasil laboratory analysis and the results of field measurements), then calculate the volume of soil that is moved through the tread design drawings. The identification results of the mass movement of land in the village of Rumengkor shows there has been a process of disengagement from the connective power (cohesion) soil / rock and roots are weak so that the granules soil / rock can be released from his bonds and then a process of transporting / moving to the bottom of the slope by dragging Other grains around it to form a larger mass and settles on the bottom of the slope (98m). Weak holding capacity soil / rock can be caused by a rock that is not compact, the physical properties of the dominant clay soil texture, water break-out properties (permeability) moderate to fast which is supported by high rainfall, the ground cracks, the scarcity of ground cover plants and Volume space land of productive land are lost as a result of mass movement in the village of Rumengkor calculated from the movement of the tread design perspective 7199.25 m3.  Keywords : Land Mass, Cohesion and Permeability

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe nature of soil is crucial in supporting the growth and development of plants, both the physical, chemical and biological soil. The physical properties of the soil, among others, the texture, structure and soil permeability. Soil chemical properties include soil pH and nutrient content. Nutrient content, consisting of the content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and organic matter. Among other biological properties of soil microorganisms decomposing organic matter in the soil. The need for analysis of the nature of the soil to support plant productivity and prosperity. This study aims to determine the physical and chemical properties of soil on sandy soil in the village of Noongan District Langowan West. The method used is survey method with direct observations in the field and determining the location of the soil sampling. Sampling was done by making minipit with a size of 50cm x 50cm x 50cm in the field, to determine the physical and chemical properties of soil on sandy soil in the Village of Noongan District Langowan West. The study lasted for two months from February to March 2016 and held in the village as the center Noongan seasonal crops in the District of West Langowan. Further analysis of the soil at the Laboratory of Physics and Soil Conservation and Soil Fertility Laboratory of Chemistry and the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sam Ratulangi to determine the physical and chemical properties of land on sandy soil. Keywords : sandy soil, physical and chemical properties of soil

Abstract

SUMMARYYonni Oktavio Balompapung, 14031108021 (2021) Application of Biochar and CowManure on Growth of Red Spinach Plants (Amaranthus Tricolor L). Under theguidance of Dr. Ir. Verry Ch. Warouw, MS as Chairman and Dr. Ir. Lientje Th.Karamoy, MSi as Member. This study aims to examine and find out how much influence the application ofbiochar and cow manure on the growth of red spinach (Amaranthus Tricolor L)plants. This research was conducted in Kakaskasen Village, North Tomohon District,Tomohon City. For pot experiments, soil analysis and cow manure were carried out atthe Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility, Department of Soil, Faculty ofAgriculture, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado. This research was conducted using acompletely randomized design method consisting of 7 treatments with 5 replicationsin order to obtain 35 experimental pots, where soil control (KT), soil biochar control(KTB) and A, B, C, D, E as mixed growing media biochar and cow manure accordingto the dosage. The results of this study indicate that the application of biochar and cow manureaffects the growth and production of red spinach (Amaranthus Tricolor L.) in thiscase plant height, plant fresh weight and plant dry weight. The higher the dose ofmanure given, the higher the results obtained for plant height, plant fresh weight andplant dry weight. Keywords: Biochar,Cow manure, Red spinach.
