Abstract

The background of this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes of class X students of SMKN 10 Merangin, because the learning model used by the teacher has not varied and the teacher also pays little attention to the potential in students, namely students' self-confidence. The aim of the research is to describe learning outcomes in terms of self-confidence that it is better to use the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model than conventional learning for class X students of SMKN 10 Merangin for the 2021/2022 academic year. The population of class X students consisted of 7 classes totaling 166 students and the research design was a 2x3 factorial design. Class X TBSM 2 is the experimental class, while class X TBSM 3 is the control class obtained from the sampling method, namely Simple Random Sampling, then the 2 sample classes are grouped based on their self confidence. Data collection techniques through tests using instruments in the form of essay questions and self-confidence questionnaires. The data analysis technique for testing hypotheses 1,2,3 and 4 is the t-test while the fifth hypothesis is a two-way ANOVA. The conclusion of the test is: The TGT learning model performs better than conventional learning on overall student mathematics learning outcomes and moderate self-confidence. Meanwhile, the mathematics learning outcomes of students who have high and low self-confidence are worse or equivalent to conventional learning. Then, according to this research, the TGT learning model and self-confidence do not affect students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the students' low mathematics problem-solving abilities. There are 5 five indicators of 9 mathematical problem solving abilities that students have not been able to achieve. One of the reasons is that there are still many students who are not active in the learning process and there is a lack of variety in the learning strategies used by teachers. This research aims to describe mathematical problem solving abilities using a Problem Based Learning model based on ethnomathematics compared to conventional learning for class IX students at MTs N01 Merangin Year 3 Lesson 2023/2024. The method used in this research uses an experimental method and the population is all students in class IX MTs N 1 Merangind for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 182 people. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The samples selected were Class IX C as = Experimental Class and Class 5 IX D as Control Class. The method for analyzing data before conducting a hypothesis test is tested first with a normality test and a harmony test, where it is known that the data is normally distributed and has homogeneous variance, so the hypothesis is tested with the t-test. The average score obtained from data analysis for the experimental class was 53.68, variance 39.0250, while the control class obtained an average score of 49.10, variance 68.1780. The results of the hypothesis test were obtained, tcount = 2.373 and ttable = 1.671. Because tcount > ttable, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The conclusion of this research is that the ability to solve mathematical problems using the Ethnomathematics-based Problem Based Learning model is better than using conventional learning for class IX students at MTs N 1 Merangin for the 2023/20 academic year

Abstract

This research aims to determine and describe students' understanding of mathematical concepts through the application of the Teaching Game Team learning model. The research population was class IX students. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a 2x3 factorial design involving 2 sample classes. Sampling used a random sampling technique with a sample of 48 students. The data collection technique uses test questions describing the ability to understand concepts in terms of students' initial abilities. Testing hypotheses 1, 2, 3 and 4 uses the t-test formula and hypothesis 5 uses the two-way Anova technique. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it was found that hypothesis 1 was accepted, where students' overall understanding of mathematical concepts using the teaching game team learning model was better than conventional learning. Meanwhile, Hypotheses 2, 3 and 4 are rejected, meaning that the understanding of mathematical concepts for those with high, medium and low initial abilities using the teaching game team learning model is no better.or equal to conventional learning. Hypothesis 5 is rejected, so there is no interaction between the teaching game team learning model in terms of initial ability to influence understanding of mathematical concepts

Abstract

This study aims to characterize the vital relationship between scientific concept information and learning motivation. This approach to employment considers a quantitative perspective, with the strategy employed being correlational. The testing strategy employs a stratified sampling approach, since the population is less than 100, and the test in this study involves 57 respondents. The consider was conducted with a survey instrument and test questions, where the number of articulations within the survey is 30 things and the number of scientific concept understanding test questions is 5 things within the shape of papers. Based on the examination, both information are regularly disseminated and have a straight design, so the theory test employments the Item Minute relationship test strategy, for the noteworthiness test utilizing the Z-test, beginning with a outline of the determinant coefficient to decide the relative greatness of the alter of variable X in connection to the variable Y. Besides, a basic direct relapse test and a relapse noteworthiness test were carried out. Based on the comes about of information investigation, it appears that Fcal > Ftable or 2,515,226 > 4.02, then H0 is rejected and H1 is acknowledged, which implies that there's a noteworthy impact between learning intrigued on the understanding of scientific concepts of review VIII understudies at SMP Negeri 19 Merangin for the 2024/2025 Scholastic Year, with a commitment of 40.96%.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low level of social factors and learning environment on student’s understanding of mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study is to describe the significant relationship between social factors and learning environment on student’s understanding of mathematical concepts. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlationa method. The sampling technique used is total sampling technique where all members of the population are sampled, so the sample is 60 students. The research instrument is a questionaire with 42 statement and 2 test item. Based on the analysis, the data is not normally distributed and has a linear pattern. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is the Spearman Rank correlation, for the significance test using the F test, followed by the coeffisient of determination formula. Data analysis shows that or 122.72 > 3.172 then is rejected and is accepted. So it can concluded that there is a significant relationship between social factors and learning environment on students understanding of mathematical concepts of class X Clothing SMK N 1 Merangin.
