Abstract

The Job Creation Bill was prepared based on the Omnibus Law. Government officials and also the DPR emphasized that the Job Creation Bill was intended to facilitate and break the chain of corruption in licensing, create jobs, and also improve the business climate. However, some residents see the process of forming the Job Creation Bill does not reflect good legislation. Demonstrations against the Job Creation Bill took place in various places. A number of parties have expressed the desire to register the review of the Job Creation Bill which has been approved by the DPR and the Government to the Constitutional Court (MK), many people view the omnibus law used by the Government and the DPR when drafting the Job Creation Bill is a requirement for formal violations. This method is not yet known in the regulations for the formation of applicable laws and regulations, the process is considered fast and ignores public participation, the DPR and the Government refute this assumption. Finally, many people want to know the ins and outs of the omnibus law.
