Abstract

The effect of a video using the Arabic speaker on the listening skill in teaching the Arabic language for eighth grade students at the one governmental secondary school in Kababan. Research, Department of Arabic Language Education in the College of Education and Teacher Education, Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris State Islamic University, Samaranda. This research is under the supervision of Mr. Khairy Abu Siry, master's degree as the first supervisor, and Mr. Ahmed Fadel Shaker Hedayat, master's degree, as the second supervisor. In teaching Arabic, listening skill is a very important aspect in addition to the first skill that aims to understand the meaning of what is heard. In teaching Arabic, the originality of the language is essential for the listeners. Thus, to develop this skill, a natiq (Arabic speaker) is needed in a natural form. The type of research used is quantitative research. The method used is an experimental method with an unequal control group design. The data tools used in this research were test, interview and documentation. The research community is all eighth-grade students in one public secondary school in Kababan, with the sample eighth-grade students -1 as the control group and eighth-grade students -4 as the experimental group using the sampling technique in the form of non-probability sampling, that is, purposive sampling. Based on the results of data analysis using SPSS, it can be seen that Asymp.Sig 2-tailed is 0.000. Because the value of 0.000 is less than 0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. That is, there is an average difference between the results of education before and after the test, so that it can be said that there is an effect of using the video medium with the Arabic speaker in teaching the Arabic language among the eighth grade students in the one governmental secondary school in Kababan by 23.5%.

Abstract

Many public school alumni students still have not mastered basic Arabic lessons such as difficulties in listening, speaking, reading and writing Arabic and they also have difficulty memorizing vocabulary. So the researcher wants to know more about the problems of learning Arabic for public school alumni in the Arabic Language Education Study Program. The objectives of this study are: 1) To find out what problems or obstacles students face. 2) To find out the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of students. 3) To find out how to overcome the problems faced by students. Researchers used a qualitative approach in this study with a descriptive method. And the data collection instruments in this study are: Interviews and Documentation. The results of the research on the problems of learning Arabic for public school alumni students are that students do not have a basic Arabic language, students are not familiar with Arabic, and students lack self-confidence. Supporting factors in student learning: 1) Lecturers who are experts in their fields and always motivate students. 2) Lecturers not only provide material in class but also distribute material for study at home. Inhibiting factors in student learning: 1) Student study hours are not enough just in class. 2) Lack of self-awareness of students to continue learning Arabic. Efforts to overcome the problems of learning Arabic for public school alumni: 1) Adding study hours outside the classroom either self-taught, studying with friends, or taking courses. 2) Motivate yourself to continue learning Arabic

Abstract

Learning I'rab Arabic sentences is still one of the problems that students often experience, including at Madrasah Aliyah Sabilarrasyad Samarinda. To overcome this the researcher offers a Mind Mapping learning model to improve the ability to I'rab Arabic sentences. This study aims to determine whether the Mind Mapping learning model is effective in improving the ability to I'rab Arabic sentences of students at Madrasah Aliyah Sabilarrasyad Samarinda. This research is a quantitative research, with the type of experimental research in the form of Quasi Experimental Type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample of this study was class XI IPA-1 which consisted of 18 students as the control group and class XI IPA-2 which consisted of 16 students as the experimental group. The instruments of this study were in the form of learning achievement tests and observation sheets. Based on the research results, the experimental class obtained an average pre-test score of 32 while the control class obtained an average value of 59.8. On the average post-test score, the experimental class obtained an average value of 46.8 and the control class obtained an average value of 54.4. The experimental class experienced an increase in the average value of 14.8 while the control class experienced a decrease in the average value of 5.4. The results of data analysis using the paired sample t test showed that the significance value (2-tailed) for the experimental class was 0.006 <0.05, this can be said that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. And based on the results of the calculation of the N-Gain Score, it shows that the average value of the N-Gain score for the experimental class is 0.22 which is included in the low category with a minimum N-Gain score of -0.20 and a maximum of 0.71. So it can be concluded that the Mind Mapping learning model is effective in the low category in improving the ability to I'rab Arabic sentences of students at Madrasah Aliyah Sabilarrasyad Samarinda.
