Abstract

The purpose of this study is to review the characteristics of Islamic leadership focused on academic performance. In addition, it reaffirms organizational citizenship behavior from an Islamic perspective as a mediator of the relationship between Islamic leadership and various measures of academic performance. This study was conducted at the Islamic University of Pekanbaru City and the type of data used is primary data through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents totaling 276 lecturers. The analysis technique used is SEM-PLS using Smart-PLS software to answer the hypothesis. The results of partial hypothesis testing on lecturer performance are known that Islamic leadership has no direct influence, while OCBIP has an influence on lecturer performance. Other results leadership has a positive and significant influence on OCBIP while OCBIP can mediate the relationship between Islamic leadership and lecturer performance.
