Abstract

Students’ difficulties commonly are analyzed based on misconception theory. This paper aimed to analyze students’ difficulties on the rotational dynamic based on resource theory. The subject of research consisted of 108 first-year undergraduate students of Physics Education, State University of Malang. Firstly, the students were asked to solve 15 multiple-choice questions and gave open explanation. We then implemened a constant comparative method to identify and categorize some resources that students employed in solving several problems that most the students failed to respond correctly. The results indicated that the students had difficulties in solving problems related to the torque and the equilibrium of rigid body. The students’ difficulties were not merely caused by the lack of correct knowledge. Instead, they have the correct knowledge or resources but they activated them on inappropriate context. The students will be successfully used the resources to solve problems if they activated them in the right context.

Abstract

Tanah longsor adalah pergerakan massa batuan atau tanah ke bawah lereng karena hilangnya keseimbangan yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor.  Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberi edukasi mitigasi bencana tanah longsor kepada masyarakat dusun Ngruno dengan melakukan pemetaan bidang gelincir dan prediksi model longsor menggunakan metode geolistrik konfigurasi wenner-schlumberger. Pengabdian ini menggunakan pengabdian pengabdian penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan eksploratif, Subjek yang terlibat adalah kawasan perbukitan rawan longsor di wilayah X, dengan pengambilan sampel tanah, data geologi, dan data curah hujan pada beberapa titik representatif yang telah ditentukan melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei lapangan, pengukuran geoteknik (seperti uji geser langsung, pengambilan sampel bor), pemetaan geologi, serta analisis citra satelit dan data curah hujan historis. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi alat ukur geoteknik, GPS, drone untuk pemetaan topografi, serta perangkat lunak pemodelan seperti GIS dan program stabilitas lereng. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode pemodelan kestabilan lereng (limit equilibrium method) dan analisis spasial GIS. Berdasarkan hasil temuan, longsor dapat diprediksi terjadi jika terdapat curah hujan yang tinggi. Hasil evaluasi dengan masyarakat yang terdampak menunjukkan 90% audiens merasa perlu adanya tindak lanjut. Untuk mengatasi kemungkinan terjadinya bencana tanah longsor, direkomendasikan: evakuasi rumah warga terdampak; Pada area tersebut direkomendasikan dipasang tiang pancang hingga menembus bidang gelincir dan memasang tembok beton pembatas.
