<![CDATA[Abstract Work is the basic right of every human being. Humans work to meet all their daily needs and their families. From year to year, finding a job is difficult, especially for those who do not have sufficient education, especially in the current global economic era. This then causes high unemployment rates in various developing countries, especially in the Southeast Asia region (ASEAN) where the majority of its members consist of developing countries. For this reason, the author is interested in raising a case with the title "PROTECTION OF INDONESIAN MIGRANT WORKERS BASED ON THE ASEAN CONSENSUS ON THE PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF THE RIGHTS OF MIGRANT WORKERS". Based on this title, the author formulates the problem, namely How is the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers according to the ASEAN Consensus on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Migrant Workers? From the title and formulation of the problem, the author was finally able to write this thesis and research this thesis with reference to the Asean Consensus, which, like workers' rights, is protected in the Asean Consensus. So far there has been no renewal from ASEAN Consensus, but in this Pandemic period there are ACMW made by several migrant -sending and recipients of migrants to ensure welfare and protect the rights of migrants in this Pandemic period. As far as it is known that between ASEAN Consensus and ACMW which more implemented in Indonesia will be discussed further in this thesis. Keywords: ASEAN Consensus, worker protection, Indonesian migrant workers. Abstrak Bekerja adalah hak asasi setiap manusia. Manusia bekerja demi memenuhi segala kebutuhannya sehari-hari beserta keluarganya. Dari tahun ke tahun, mencari pekerjaan merupakan hal yang sulit terutama bagi mereka yang tidak memiliki pendidikan yang cukup terlebih lagi pada era ekonomi global seperti saat ini. Hal ini kemudian menyebabkan tingginya angka pengangguran di berbagai negara-negara berkembang terutama di kawasan Asia Tenggara (ASEAN) yang mayoritas anggotanya terdiri dari negara-negara yang masih berkembang. Untuk itulah penulis tertarik mengangkat kasus dengan judul “PERLINDUNGAN PEKERJA MIGRAN INDONESIA BERDASARKAN ASEAN CONSENSUS ON THE PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF THE RIGHTS OF MIGRANT WORKERS”. Bedasarkan judul tersebut, penulis membuat rumusan masalah, yaitu Bagaimanakah Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia menurut ASEAN Consensus On The Promotion and Protection of The Rights of Migrant Workers?. Dari judul dan rumusan masalah tersebut penulis akhirnya bisa membuat skripsi ini hingga meneliti skripsi ini dengan mengacu pada Asean Consensus yang sebagaimana para hak pekerja dilindungi dalam Asean Consensus. Sejauh ini belum ada pembaharuan dari Asean Consensus namun di masa pandemi ini terdapatlah ACMW yang dibuat oleh beberapa negara pengirim dan penerima migran untuk menjamin kesejateraan serta melindungi hak para migran di masa pandemi ini.
