Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world over the past 2 years has changed the paradigm and behavior of people, no matter what in Indonesia. Various policies implemented by the government in preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus, one of which is by implementing health protocols such as maintaining distance, washing hands and wearing masks. In addition, the government has also implemented a policy to study from home, where the policy is considered to have an impact on reducing the number of positive cases of Covid-19. However, the authors assess that this policy has not had a maximum impact, because administratively it is still not supported by the application of technology that is able to apply the Less Contact concept. In this study, a lecturer attendance system was developed using Web-based RFID as a system that can support the administration of higher education that is Less Contact. The result is that the attendance system that has been tested is considered capable of supporting health protocols in universities because lecturers can input attendance by attaching an RFID-based ID Card without having to crowd in queues to fill out the attendance list and use the same pen together as in the old system which is very expensive. at risk of transmitting the virus between fellow lecturers

Abstract

The development of industrial agriculture and plantations in Indonesia is growing so rapidly. One of the stages in the processing of plantation products is the selection of products based on their quality (eg fruit ripeness level). The process of selecting agricultural and plantation products is generally very dependent on human perception of the color composition of the image. The manual method is carried out based on direct visual observation of the fruit to be classified. Identification with this method has several weaknesses, including the relatively long time required and the production due to human visual limitations, fatigue levels and differences in perceptions of fruit quality. The development of artificial neural network (ANN) research makes it possible to sort agricultural and plantation products automatically with the help of image processing applications. Identification of tomato fruit maturity applies the backpropagation learning method. Handphone is used for identifying media as taking pictures of tomatoes. The success rate of tomato’s ripeness obtained by using the backpropagation learning method with a success rate of 96%.

Abstract

The current industrial revolution is marked by the emergence of various computer-based devices with certain specifications to be used to complete certain jobs. This device was born from the development of computers, which were originally devices used to complete simple calculations, with large sizes and required high development costs. Gradually through various studies, a new computer technology was born which has a small size, low power consumption, low development costs and has a much more optimal and intelligent performance. One of the technologies in question is the home security system developed in this study. This system can operate with 4 units of AA batteries connected to the microcontroller and android smartphone. The system built is able to solve the problems that exist in conventional door security systems that use physical locks with the following weaknesses: 1) Physical locks that are easily damaged; 2) Keys are easy to lose; 3) Limited keys, because door lock manufacturers only provide 3-4 spare keys, which means one set of keys can only be used by 3-4 users; 4) Security is not guaranteed, because currently physical keys can be easily duplicated by locksmiths on the market today. The results of this study are the development of a prototype home security system using an Android smartphone and a microcontroller. The user only needs to access the system via an Android smartphone, then the system will authorize the user, if the user is an authorized user, the system will forward the command to the relay to deactivate the selenoid door lock. The built system also has an alarm feature that is generated by a buzzer when an entry attempt is made by an unregistered device
