Abstract

Micro hydro power plants are small power plants that use water as energy, and the initiative is a turbine. This generator system is very suitable for use in rural areas because this system is easy to manufacture, generates sufficient electricity, and production costs are relatively low. Based on the above, it is necessary to design turbines that support this process system, including Kaplan-type turbines. This study aims to determine how much power the turbine can generate. The methods used in this research are the planning method, the design method, the testing method, and the analysis method for the Kaplan turbine design results referring to the results of initial observations, which show the height of the waterfall. The primary data collection is carried out through direct observation of the research object to determine the geographic location conditions and the ideal micro hydro power plant path. A designed Kaplan-type water turbine is in such a way that there are no errors in the design (for example, the manufacturing costs), and a design is carried out. 1) with an output of 1.2 m3/s and head efficiency (Heff) = 18.9 m, specific rotation (Ns) = 153.3 rpm. Control swing height (B) = 0.069 m, and the Kaplan turbine were chosen for planning the Brantas river flow micro-hydro power plant, Batu City – Malang. The potential that can be generated based on manual calculations is 124 KW, 1500 rpm turbine rotation with an efficiency of 0.85% - 0.90%.

Abstract

A boiler is an energy conversion device that can convert water into usable steam by regulating the pressure and temperature of the steam. A steam boiler (boiler) is a steam component used as an energy source in processes in the food industry or other industries, due to its important role in manufacturing. In this research, we examined based on the investigation of the existing data. The figures obtained are obtained from appropriate publications and processed to analyze the data from the search results. From experimental analysis, water vapor theorem results are obtained for liquid water. kettle diameter 150 cm; kettle length 300 cm; fire pipe diameter 60 cm. The research obtained is expected to serve as a model for mechanical design models that can be used in industry, training centers and educational institutions.

Abstract

PT. XXX merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi kertas dan hasil-hasil produksi kertas terbesar di indonesia yang terintegrasi secara vertikal. Dalam penelitian ini, akar permasalahan terhadap rendahnya produktifitas penurunan tekanan pada bagian press cylinder wire machine akan diidentifikas, FMEA akan dipakai untuk menentukan tingkat permasalahan yang menghambat produktifitas press cylinder wire machine. Metode penelitian yang dilaksanakan, menggunakan metode eksperimen. Langkah awal untuk melakukan perancangan RCM adalah mengetahui mesin yang sering mengalami kegagalan yang didapatkan dengan wawancara pihak perusahaan. Mesin tersebut adalah mesin press part, mesin size press, mesin driyer merupakan mesin yang tercatat sebagai mesin yang sering bermasalah. Mesin beserta komponennya tersebut akan dilakukan perencanaan pemeliharan menggunakan reliability centered maintenance (RCM). Identifikasi setiap kesalahan dan akar penyebab setiap kesalahan keluar dari setiap bagian mesin. Setelah analisis yang cermat dari semua bagian rakitan piston, ditentukan bahwa sebagian besar kegagalan yang ditemui disebabkan oleh penyebab yang tidak disengaja dan tegangan berlebih, kecuali semua seal dan ring piston. Berdasarkan pemilihan material, desain ulang pelat dorong dudukan jari diusulkan karena perluasan baut jari dorong yang berlebihan disebabkan oleh kelonggaran dan ketidaksejajaran.

Abstract

The hydraulic system is an energy transmission system utilizing liquid fluids. Liquids possess a characteristic different from solids in their inability to withstand shear stress. The employed methodology is qualitative research, also referred to as naturalistic qualitative research, which entails a natural implementation without manipulating circumstances. This study aims to identify the causes of damage to the hydraulic system in the press section machine, along with implementing appropriate corrective measures, while examining the hydraulic functioning of the press section machine. The research problem specifically focuses on analyzing the damage to the hydraulic cylinder and addressing cylinder seal failure. The damage results from seal wrinkling caused by aging, heat and wear. It is important to ensure that the hydrostatic test pressure is carried out at pressures up to 20 MPa with a holding time of at least 30 seconds. This examination ensures that the hydraulic roll press problem has been fully resolved and will not reoccur. Hydraulic systems offer numerous advantages as an energy source in various applications. These advantages include their lightweight nature, ease of installation, and low maintenance requirements. Inadequate performance in the hydraulic roller pressure section is attributed to a hydraulic cylinder seal that does not meet the specified standards, necessitating replacement with a suitable seal.

Abstract

The water wheel is defined as a mechanical device in the form of a wheel with blades (buckets or spatulas) around the edges which are on the horizontal axis of water as the working fluid. The water flowing into and out of the wheel has no excess pressure, only atmospheric pressure. The speed of the water flowing into the wheel must be large, because if the speed is large, the impetus on the blades of the water wheel will be greater. Comparison of the Effect of Natural Flow Performance and the Use of Sluice Gate on the Wheel. The use of Sluice Gate on the Waterwheel affects the performance of the waterwheel and from several variations in the width of the sluice gate flow gap (25mm), (35mm), and (40mm) with a sluice gate flow gap of 40 mm with an efficiency of 38.12 % at 40 rpm rotation, which is 13 Watt higher than the natural flow test at 40 rpm, the rotation speed is 5.11 watts with an efficiency of 10%, and the lowest power at 10 rpm is 3 watts and an efficiency of 6% with a discharge of 12 liters per second.
