<![CDATA[Upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menangkap makna tertulis teks eksplanasi peserta didik kelas VII E SMP Negeri 5 Semarang yaitu menggunakan teks eksplanasi sosiokultural bermuatan pendidikan moral dan pendekatan scientific metode SQ4R. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsi proses pembelajaran, perubahan sikap religius, perubahan sikap sosial, dan peningkatan keterampilan menangkap makna tertulis teks eksplanasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan secara signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi proses, peserta didik mengalami peningkatan keantusiasan. Hasil tes keterampilan prasiklus sebesar 65,99 dengan persentase ketuntasan 6,25%, meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 79,67 atau 50% dengan hasil portofolio 81,41 atau 68,75%. Pada siklus II hasil tes 88,92 dan nilai portofolio 89,97 dengan ketuntasan 100%. Peningkatan proses pembelajaran dan keterampilan menangkap makna tertulis teks eksplanasi ini juga diikuti perubahan sikap religius dan sosial peserta didik ke arah yang lebih positif.Efforts to improve the skills of catching the written meaning of explanation text class VII-E SMP Negeri Semarang 5 that uses sociocultural explanation text charged moral education and scientific approach with SQ4R method. This study uses classroom action research. The result showed significant improvement. Based on the observation of the process, the students increased enthusiasm. Prasiklus skills test results at 65.99 with the percentage of completeness of 6.25%, an increase in the first cycle to 79.67 or 50% of the portfolio returns 81.41, or 68.75%.
