Abstract

Penggunaan metode discovery learning melalui teknik “Barendistup” dalam pembelajaran menulis teks ulasan novel dapat menyajikan pembelajaran yang aktif, efektif, kreatif, ekonomis, menarik dan menyenangkan sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks ulasan novel bagi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Tuban. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pembelajaran menulis teks ulasan novel dengan metode discovery learning melalui teknik “Barendistup” lebih efektif daripada pembelajaran menulis teks ulasan novel secara konvensional (tidak dengan metode discovery learning melalui teknik “Barendistup”) pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Tuban. Bahkan metode discovery learning melalui teknik “Barendistup” selain bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks ulasan novel, juga bertujuan meningkatkan daya pikir dan daya kritis para siswa dalam menuangkan ide/gagasannya. Untuk itu, disarankan kepada guru bahasa Indonesia mencoba menerapkan metode discovery learning melalui teknik “Barendistup” dalam pembelajaran menulis teks ulasan novelThe using of discovery learning metod through “Barendistup” technik in learning writing text of novel review may present active learning, effective, creative, economical, attractive and fun so as to increase the motivation to learn and improve the ability to write novel review on the VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Tuban. Based on the result, the learning writing text of novel review with discovery learning metod through “Barendistup” technik is more effective than the learning writing text of novel review with outh discovery learning metod through “Barendistup” technik in class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Tuban. Even the discovery learning metod through “Barendistup” technik besides aims to improve the ability to write text of novel review, also aims to increase the power of critical thinking of the students in the ideas. To that end, it is advisable to Indonesian teachers try to apply discovery learning metod trouh “Barendistup” technik in the learning writing text of novel review.
