Abstract

This research objectives to investigate the distance of genetics and differentiator factor of the horses in four District in North Sumatra. This research was conducted in Karo District (60 heads), Humbahas District (77 heads), Tapanuli Utara District (52 heads) and Samosir District (42 heads) at July 2016. The analysis used were descriptive analysis, discriminant analysis, canonical analysis, principal component analysis, genetic distances and filogenic tree. The observed variables in this study were shoulder height, hip height, hip width, body length, chest circumference, chest and chest width, and the variables that distinguish the horse in term of size were hip height and in terms of shape was the width of the chest. The nearest genetic distance was the horse between Karo and North Tapanuli District (0.869) and the horse that had the farthest genetic distance were horses in Karo District with horses in Samosir District (14.539). Based on the results of morphometric measurements of horses in this study, in order to obtain heterosis, it was expected to cross between horses in Karo District and horse in Samosir District.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis usaha penggunaan tepung ikanpora-pora sebagai pakan terhadap ternak itik porsea.Penelitian ini menggunakan metodesurvey untuk menentukan harga yang digunakan pada parameter dalam penelitian.Setiap plotperlakuan menggunakan 5 (lima) ekor itik dan setiap perlakuan tepung ikan pora-pora terdiridari level 0% (P0), 2,5% (P1), 5,0% (P2), 7,5% (P3), 10% (P4). Parameter yang diamati yaitutotal biaya produksi, total hasil produksi, analisis laba/rugi, R/C ratio dan IOFC untuk periode3 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada setiap perlakuan P0, P1, P2, P3 dan P4memberikan hasil rataan total biaya produksi (Rp/plot/periode):244,203.09; 245,263.48;244,970.82;242,939.73 dan 241,700.19. Rataan total hasil produksi (Rp/plot/periode):275,766.75; 284,701.81; 287,250.25; 277,349.19 dan 257,630.19. Rataan laba/rugi(Rp/plot/periode) :31,563.66; 39,438.33; 42,279.43; 34,409.46 dan 15,930.00. Rataan R/CRatio :1.13; 1.16; 1.17; 1.14 dan 1.07. Rataan IOFC :128,769.16; 136,643.83;139,484.93;131,614.96 dan 113,135.50. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwapenggunaan tepung ikan pora-pora dalam ransum itik porsea dapat memberikan keuntungan
