Abstract

The art of Reog Ponorogo is one that has quite long values and history in the process of Islamization of the people of the land of Java, particularly in East Java. This is particularly true for East Java. In Islamizing people in East Java, the values contained in Reog Ponorogo include traditional, religious, cultural, social, political, and historical values. These values are all interrelated in some way. Since Islam was introduced to Java, the traditional art of Reog has been transformed into a form of propaganda that is utilized to disseminate Islamic principles. The purpose of this study is to shed light on the ways in which Reog is utilized as a tool for Islamization in Java. There are a number of symbols connected to the religion of Islam that can be found in Reog. One example of this is the depiction of a horse, which represents the Mi'raj Isra journey that the Prophet Muhammad undertook. Ulrich Beck's theory of the risk society faces is utilized in the method of analysis. Ulrich Beck investigates the ways in which contemporary dangers mold and transform society, as well as the difficulties inherent in mitigating these dangers in a way that is both equitable and environmentally responsible. In the context of the Islamization of Reog culture, through the lens of Ulrich Beck's point of view, it is possible to interpret that the culture of Reog Ponorogo is the result of a modernization process and also a response to increasingly complex changes in both the global and local contexts.

Abstract

The existence of Community Learning Activity Centers (PKBM) aims to form managed learning media that is centered on empowering local potential in increasing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the community in the economic, social and cultural fields. In developing a community, community participation must be actively linked and participate in processes and activities that exist in society in order to create maximum goals. The feeling of sharing between individuals in social groups will form social solidarity so that a sense of solidarity arises between these individuals. In this study using descriptive qualitative research methods using an ethnographic approach, this study aims to find out how forms of solidarity arise between individuals in creating a community. This research is located in Gesang Village, Tempeh District, Lumajang Regency. The informant himself is the founder, administrator and member of Omah Sinau Gesang. Researchers only took 6 people to be used as informants. The informants that the researchers took consisted of one founder, one administrator, and 4 members from Omah Sinau Gesang. Data collection was obtained from the results of interviews and observations which were included with the documentation. The results of this study indicate that within a community there is a division of labor as a cause for the emergence of organic solidarity. This interdependence increases with the division of labor and with increasing specialization and differences among individuals in the community.

Abstract

Dilihat dalam konteks iklan produk kecantikan, proses encoding dan decoding pesan kepada masyarakat memiliki peran besar dalam membentuk standar kecantikan di Indonesia. Tampilan Iklan kecantikan yang ada saat ini seringkali menggambarkan standar kecantikan yang semakin sempit, sehingga berpotensi menciptakan dampak psikologis dari standar ini, khususnya pada mereka yang memiliki masalah insecure terhadap dirinya sendiri dan menimbulkan tekanan sosial juga memicu perasaan tidak pantas dan selalu kurang pada individu yang mungkin tidak memenuhi kriteria tersebut. Encoding merujuk pada bagaimana pesan-pesan iklan diciptakan dan disampaikan oleh media produk, sementara decoding merujuk pada bagaimana pesan-pesan ini diterima dan diinterpretasikan oleh masyarakat. Standar kecantikan yang diterapkan dalam iklan dapat beragam dalam pemahaman setiap individu masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, untuk mencapai perubahan positif dalam pandangan kecantikan di Indonesia, perlu ditekankan bahwa pesan-pesan iklan produk kecantikan harus mendorong keragaman dan mempromosikan pesan positif serta inklusif. Hal ini akan membantu dalam membentuk persepsi yang lebih seimbang dan mendukung perkembangan rasa percaya diri serta penerimaan diri individu di masyarakat.
