Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah di Surabaya masih menjadi masalah dikarenakan jumlah sampah yang besar dari berbagai sumber, termasuk sampah medis selama pandemi Covid-19. Diperlukan adanya partisipasi warga untuk mencegah terjadinya penumpukan sampah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor dalam pengelolaan sampah, strategi dalam peningkatan pengelolaan sampah, dan tingkat keberhasilan pengelolaan sampah oleh masyarakat di surabaya. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan jenis data sekunder. Dengan dihasilkan data-data yang lebih riil terkait masalah pengelolaan sampah yang marak di lingkungan masyarakat. Lebih konkretnya metode yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data yaitu dengan metode studi dokumen yang menghimpun dan menganalisis dokumen-dokumen, baik dokumen tertulis, gambar, hasil karya, maupun elektronik terkait masalah pengelolaan sampah di masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pengelolaan sampah yang sesuai dengan anjuran dan peraturan di Surabaya masih rendah. Sebagian besar responden tidak menerapkan 3R, tidak memilah sampah organik dan non-organik, dan tidak memilah sampah medis dan non-medis. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya edukasi dan pengadaan infrastruktur yang memadai untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan penerapan pengelolaan sampah yang sesuai dengan anjuran dan peraturan.

Abstract

The presence of the digital era has brought very important changes in life. The ease of access to technology has created dependence on gadgets, especially among teenagers. Even though the digital era has many positive impacts, the negative impacts are more dominating. The easy access to the internet makes teenagers lulled so that they have little intention of being literate. In addition, there is a lack of reading space that is suitable for the condition of teenagers. This article aims to determine literacy interest in adolescents in the current digitalization era. How is the impact given and solutions that can overcome these problems. This research uses several supporting methods such as surveys, case studies, document analysis, group discussion forums and content analysis. Interest in reading among adolescents has decreased over time, so through this article a simple library design is presented to support literature for adolescents with a comfortable concept

Abstract

The high unemployment rate in the city of Surabaya can be overcome by increasing the entrepreneurial spirit of the community. This study aims to find out how big the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of Surabaya is and what factors influence their entrepreneurial spirit. The results of the study show that the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of Surabaya is still low, but factors such as support from the government and the community, access to resources, and entrepreneurship training can increase the entrepreneurial spirit. In this study aims to determine the importance of increasing the entrepreneurial spirit in reducing unemployment rates in the city of Surabaya. The next goal is to find out what factors influence the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of Surabaya. And in this study, it also contains goals related to solutions or recommendations to increase the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of Surabaya. As a support for this research, a quantitative method was used with a descriptive research approach by collecting questionnaire data and documentation methods distributed among the people of Surabaya. So that the data obtained shows that the entrepreneurial spirit in the city of Surabaya is in the Good category

Abstract

Social media has become an inseparable part of people's daily lives in Indonesia and even in the world.  One of the social media that is currently very popular among the public is TikTok. In fact, TikTok is the top 3 most downloaded application in 2022, with a total of 500 million+ downloads. People use TikTok for all kinds of things. One of them is to criticize the progress of regional infrastructure. The government often underestimates the damage and lack of regional infrastructure. In this article, we examine how people use TikTok social media as a tool in criticizing the progress of regional infrastructure. This research is based on a viral video from the awbimax reborn account which discusses the progress of the Lampung area where the video contains quite scathing criticisms. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach by conducting questionnaires and observations of  a number of parties involved in making and disseminating the video. The result is that many people use social media such as TikTok as a means to criticize and voice their disappointment with the progress of regional infrastructure which is considered to be still very minimal

Abstract

Occupational safety is crucial for workers in the mining industry, who are involved in tasks such as machine maintenance, heavy equipment mechanics, and welding. These activities carry a high level of risk because coal mining workers operate a lot of heavy machinery, leading to significant risks of workplace accidents or occupational diseases. This final project aims to assess the impact of Safety Culture, Safety Leadership, and Safety Knowledge on Safety Performance to reduce workplace accidents. The research employs Multiple Linear Regression. The data analysis results indicate that Safety Leadership, Safety Knowledge, and Safety Culture all have a significant positive effect on Safety Performance. This means that improvements in Safety Leadership, Safety Knowledge, and Safety Culture correspond to improvements in Safety Performance, thereby reducing workplace accidents.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an analysis of Occupational Safety and Health (OCH) risks in the mechanical work of PT. XYZ and provide risk mitigation using the modified House of Risk (HOR) method. The findings of this study in HOR stage 1 are in mechanical work which includes preparing before service, finding the source of the problem, determining corrective actions, service (repair), performance test, checking around the body unit, service maintenance and after service has 34 risk events and 28 risk causes. In data processing according to the Pareto diagram principle where 80%: 20%; then the main problem that must be resolved in HOR stage 2 is 7 risk agent priorities. The results of the HOR stage 2 calculation obtained 7 prevention actions or risk mitigation that can be used as a solution to minimize the occurrence of risk causes.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate English conversational skills in early childhood through the use of the Comma 2.0 application as a learning medium. The research method follows an experimental approach, applying the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) in instructional design. In the analysis stage, we identified the needs and characteristics of early childhood learners in English language acquisition. We then designed the lessons by integrating the audio-visual-based Comma 2.0 application, adhering to instructional design principles that are engaging and suitable for early childhood development. The implementation was conducted with two groups: a control group using conventional learning methods and an experimental group using the Comma 2.0 application. Evaluation was performed before and after the intervention using English conversation skill tests. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group, validating the effectiveness of the Comma 2.0 application in enhancing English conversational skills in early childhood. These findings support the use of technology-based learning approaches in early childhood development, creating an interactive and engaging learning environment.
