Abstract

Abstract

The development of information technology always experiences significant growth in line with human needs, especially in the computer field. The use of information technology is starting to spread to several aspects of the field, one of which is education. The ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta student Islamic boarding school is an educational institution that is also a place to live to improve religious knowledge and soft skills. In terms of information notification, the Pesma information process, such as activities regarding Pesma, Pesma registration, distribution of Pesma waves, Pesma payment information, and Pesma graduation is carried out via WhatsApp media. Apart from that, student data management still uses Excel which is separate from one data to another. Based on some of the problems above, this will become an obstacle to the Pesma activity process so that it runs less well and effectively. In this research, a web-based information system will be designed which can be a solution to facilitate the delivery of information to students and data management for Pesma officers. The method used for system development is the prototyping method. Prototyping is a software development method that allows users to have an initial idea of the program to be developed and carry out initial testing. From the results of this research, the information system design that has been created is in accordance with the functional needs of business processes in the ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Student Islamic Boarding School environment.

Abstract

Electric Maternity Belt for monitoring fetal and pregnant women well-being project is an initiative aimed at addressing the issue of inadequate fetal health monitoring in remote or underserved areas. Many expectant mothers face challenges in accessing timely prenatal care, which increases the risks of complications during pregnancy. This project developed an innovative, affordable, and easy-to-use maternity belt equipped with sensors to monitor the fetal heart rate, movement, and uterine contractions, providing real-time data to healthcare providers. The method involves collaboration with local health centers to test and refine the prototype. The maternity belt was introduced to rural clinics and tested on a sample of pregnant women, with training sessions for healthcare staff on how to operate the device. The results showed that the device successfully detected fetal abnormalities, allowing for early intervention and reducing maternal anxiety. Moreover, it contributed to the improvement of healthcare access by enabling remote monitoring, even in areas with limited medical resources. The primary output of this project is a functional prototype that can be mass-produced and distributed to remote areas, helping to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. The project’s contribution lies in its ability to bridge the gap between modern healthcare technology and rural communities, providing an affordable, efficient, and reliable solution for maternal and fetal health monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the transformational leadership strategy implemented in Masohi hospital and analyze its impact on the performance of human resources (HR). The research approach used is qualitative with case study design, which allows researchers to understand the phenomenon in depth in a real context. The Data was collected through in-depth interviews with eight informants, consisting of directors, field heads, room heads, and implementing staff, so that diverse perspectives were obtained from various levels of management and implementers. The data analysis process is carried out through three main stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results showed that transformational leadership strategies in Masohi hospital include exemplary, inspirational motivation, innovative thinking encouragement, and attention to individual employee needs. Implementation of this strategy can improve discipline, work ethic, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility of employees in providing services to patients. In addition, it was found that the work culture built through transformational leadership can strengthen organizational commitment and improve overall service quality. However, the implementation of this strategy is not free from challenges. The obstacles that arise include complex bureaucracy, managerial competence gaps between units, as well as resistance to change among staff. This challenge requires an adaptive approach and effective communication so that the strategy can run optimally. Overall, the findings of this study confirm that transformational leadership has a positive impact on strengthening work culture and improving service quality in regional hospitals. This research is expected to be a valuable input for the development of leadership and HR management policies, not only in Masohi hospital, but also in other regional hospitals that face similar challenges.
